Then emailed again saying he had to sell his ATV to get the money. Then emailed again wanting my phone number because we would have to communicate that way because he could no longer afford the internet.

Glad you got most of your money back.
I'm sorry for the seller too cause it sounds like he's having a very bad time.

What really jumped out at me though was he only had $940.00 and gas money after selling his ATV?
Somebody got a hell of a deal on a four wheeler or it was pure junk.
