There are many scary things out there, but once their removal from the "unknown" column occurs, turn out to be innocuous.
I'm reminded of the story I heard about a little boy named Mark who lived near a graveyard.
One night he heard his name being called from on the other side of the wall which separated his home from the graveyard. It was very distinct, "Mark! Mark!"
Screwing up all of his courage, the boy climbed out of his bedroom window, and ran up close to the wall, where he could hear his name being called again, this time louder. "Mark! Mark!"
Unable to satisfy his curiosity, he climbed the wall and dropped to the other side. It was still for a while, and then he heard it again, apparently originating from behind a tombstone a few yards away. "Mark! Mark!"
Needless to say, Mark was scared stiff, but he cautiously approached the big grave marker. It was much louder now, and for sure, whatever was calling his name was on the other side of the tombstone. "MARK! MARK!"
Mark HAD to know, so, screwing up all of his courage, trembling and eyes wide, he peeked around the edge of the granite stone to solve the mystery...
And there it was...
