To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

DHart - I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family. Your son was an honorable, brave, and selfless hero.

Oh my Lord, my heart sunk into my chest reading about your loss. There isn't much more I can add to those before me, but I pray for your family and Elijah that the Lord will provide you all comfort this and every Holiday season.
May Elijah rest in Heaven for his sacrifice to our Nation of Peace.

To all of the Hart family. I hardly know what to say. When I participate in this forum, I begin to feel a friendship towards our fellow members that I only know through on-line sharing. I as so saddened by your loss of Elijah and the loss of a fine husband and father.

At the same time, I am proud of Elijah for his fight for freedom in which he so dearly believed. I pledge to remember him and will do my best to support our troops still in harm's way. I will go the National Cemetery here in Fayetteville and will honor him with a prayer and salute to our flag.
My sympathy to you and all of the family.

Ken

Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Maj. and Mrs. Robison

My condolences. I will pray for your son, you and the rest of your family.

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier.

DHart, I knew Elijah, I'm also at FOB Kalagush.
We held a memorial for him today; you would be extremely proud of the high esteem in which Elijah was held by his fellow soldiers.
From the LCOL on down he was known to all as a quiet, competent, and reliable soldier. The heartfelt words spoken today are a testament to the true soul of Elijah and how deeply he affected those around him. To a man we will all miss his smiling face, his devotion to his family and little girl, and the professional way in which he served his country.
Hold your head up high when you remember him and speak of him, as you can be extremely proud of the impact Elijah had on this little part of the world, ugly though it is at times.

We are all diminished by his passing.

Please accept my deepest regrets and most sincere appreciation for this supreme sacrifice. God be with you.

Mr. and Mrs Hart.
May God wrap his mighty hands around you. I know that Elijah has gone home and will have no pain or worries. We should always remember that our Great Architect of the Universe put each of us here and our military protect our shores and enable us to live in freedom.
God bless you and your family.

The fact that we Americans don't speak German, Russian, Pashtun or Japanese is due to the sacrifices made by heroes such as your son. My sadness is heartfelt. My sympathy to you and your family for your irreplaceable loss. Continue to stand tall...Elijah still does!

John at FOB Kalagush ...

Thank-you for your service soldier ... Regards From Colorado (near Ft Carson), Tony

Just to be clear, Tony, I'm a security contractor here. But I work with some heroes who serve their country in uniform as soldiers, and there are no finer men and women anywhere than these.
