I kick myself....
I had a chance to see Tom Petty in our town years back. For some reason I didn't feel like the hassle of getting in and out of the concert. A local radio station was broadcasting from the concert and I could hear the band and the crowd really having, a great, I mean a kick *** great, time. When I heard it I wanted to be there BAD. I'll always kick myself for not going that night. Well, even though I wasn't there I remember what a great concert he put on, and did it consistently for many years.
PS: At the time I hadn't been exposed to the full range of his work. Had I known that, crowd or no crowd, I would have been there. We get very few 'big' concerts here as they are always in Atlanta or Charlotte. I did attend many concerts at the University of SC but I haven't heard of anybody I wanted to see come there in years.
