trigger will not pull and can't get slide off ?

I just installed an APEX M&P Ultimate Striker Block in my M&P Shield and now I can't pull the trigger or get the slide off. Any help greatly appreciated.

As you pull the trigger pull up on the rear of the slide.

The trigger does move, just not enough to fire and when I do pull and release trigger slide slightly moves front and back. The striker block does not depress and can't remove the slide to work on fixing the problem.

Sounds like you need to take the pistol to a gun smith who knows what he is doing.

It sounds like the striker block spring is not properly aligned. Sometimes they get bent when you are sliding the sight back on. You should always push the striker block in a few times after messing with that spring to be sure that it is functioning.

My suggestion would be to remove the sight and see if you can remove the striker block. If not, can you lock the slide back? If so, plan B would be to lock it back and remove the slide end cap and then remove the striker assembly. The slide should come off.

Have you tried locking the slide back and take a small screw driver and push down the little takedown lever inside the mag well the way they show in the manual?

AS has been stated, remove the rear sight, should be able to remove the spring. Then the striker block should free up.

Ok I was able to get the rear sight off with slide attached to gun and bang out the striker blocker took 3 taps with a punch. It's my fault for rushing it and putting slide back on gun without checking it first(I was in a hurry to pick my son up from school). It's all back together now and works perfect. THANKS for the HELP .

Looks like it was the little round part that's sits on top of the spring went in on an angle when re installing the rear sight and jammed up the striker block. I had to push up on striker block from underneath to get it out.
