Triple Lock revolver with 5” barrel, is it reblued?

I was looking at this one too and hoping it would fly under the radar and not go too high.

I am glad a forum member got it.

Yes, I'm pleased a Forum member got it.

I forgot about the auction closing until after it closed. Had this not been the case, my gut instinct was to go for it vs reason which said what if it is reblued. Which means I was hoping for a lower hammer price in the 2s.

The reality is you just aren't going to get a bargain on Gunbroker anymore except under unusual circumstances. Too large of an audience. This one was advertised such that "Triple Lock" didn't bring it up and look how many on this forum alone were following it.

Well, I finally received the gun today. Quite frankly, I was shocked when I opened the box and saw this beauty. It's definitely the original blue finish, though not perfect as there are a few scratches and marks on it. Grips are darned near perfect. Serial number present and matches everywhere it should. I really don't think it's been shot much.
I'm very pleased to own this one!
Pictures, for your viewing pleasure.....last one has photo bomb by 2nd and 3rd models.

Please show us the gripstraps. That was the big unknown for me.

Here are some pictures of the grip straps. Under the grips, the straps are about as clean as can be--no rust or corrosion whatsoever. The outer part of the strap is where the most wear on this gun is. There is also a bit of blue loss along the top strap and inner grip frame. The only other blue loss I can see is a bit at the muzzle.
My GUESS, is that most of the grip wear came from handling and being put away with wet/sweaty hands??

Thanks for that. About what I expected. Strange that the rust did not travel under the grips at all! He must have kept the rust cleaned off as it appeared.
