My AR did not come with the front sight tool so I got one from Ebay and I am having the most difficult time adjusting it. I need pliers on the tool to make any changes. Is there something I'm missing or a better tool I can use?

Use the tip of a bullet!

One of those little gizmos with 4 prongs? Should be able to just push it down on top of the front sight and turn by hand. I would shoot a little oil on it and see if you can loosen it up.

Been using M 16 type rifles since 1966 and never had a sight tool until I picked up an AR tool kit at a gun show and it had two front sight tools, one four prong and one five prong, can never remember to take them with me to the range and still end up using a bullet tip. I can still use my iron sights but my eyes sure aren't as good as they used to be!

I've got a front sight tool that goes on my key ring, that way I never forget to bring it with me.
