Two Officers Killed In Hattiesburg, Ms. This Evening.

In the past week we have praised a LEO for eliminating a terrorist threat, and now we mourn the loss of not one, but two LEO's who lost their lives. But, not in vain. Thank you to all LEO's who do the things I can not do for me to live the life I can live. God bless these two officers and God bless their families.

I fail to understand how shooting policemen is a sane option. Surely, you re-double law enforcement's determination to get you and reduce your chances of making it to trial in one piece. Try to beat it at trial - your odds are better. Run, if don't want to get caught, or try to quietly sneak from jail or prison, but don't shoot it out with the police, then whatever you are running for becomes the least of your worries. Sorry Charlie and the families and friends of the fallen officers are in my prayers.

Very sad, condolences to the officer's families.
Seems the 3 criminals have been caught. I'm guessing probably with long rap sheets. Now $$$ for trials and a long life in relative comfort with 3 square meals a day, recreation, excersize, sports, free medical, (free sex change anyone?) etc. etc. the thought makes me sick!!

I saw the name Hattiesburg on an Internet news aggregation page this morning and my heart sank. I just knew that forum members would know the murdered officers and that the wounds of the new deaths could reopen older wounds as well, as they almost certainly will in any community where men and women choose to follow a dangerous profession because they know they must.

My thoughts and prayers to all members, present and retired, of the Hattiesburg Law Enforcement community and especially to the families of Officers Tate and Deen.

Salute to the brave young men who lost their life. Hats off to the brave officers who go to work everyday to protect us all.

God Bless the men and women serving us in law enforcement and the armed services. We expect them to protect us from the evil in this world and then limit their ability to do so by imposing rules upon them that restrict their ability to do the job and protect themselves. Did these slain officers hesitate for even a moment, out of fear of retribution, and give their murders the edge they needed to kill them? I wouldn't blame any of the men and women in law enforcement if they just threw their hands in the air and walked away. God Bless the families of these slain officers and may He give them peace of mind and ease their sorrow.

Like many have already said, as soon as I saw the headline I thought of Charlie. Prayers for the fallen Officers, their family and friends.

Police Lives Matter Most

An assault upon a police officer is an assault upon society itself. Yes, we can get really annoyed with them if we get a summons for speeding or some other infraction but if it weren't for the police, chaos would reign and we'd probably have to use our CCWs on a regular basis.

My condolences to all who knew these fine officers who laid down their lives for all of us.
