Warm pants?

You can't beat the quality of LL Bean stuff. Their lined jeans are terrific in the cold and wind. I prefer the flannel lining.

Coleman has some nice flannel lined jeans too.

Silly as it sounds I'll chime in from sauna - like south Florida. On the very rare day it won't get out of the 40's I've found jeans to be worthless, the wind and humidity blows right thru. Corduroy is comfortable but every seed type hitchiker in the woods sticks. I bought the Firehose brand from Duluth Trading and they're great. The heavy canvas material insulates well and if paired with thermal skivvies should keep in low temps.

As soon as it drops into the 40's, the flannel lined Carhartt duck carpenter pants come out. Warm, tough as nails, and look good to boot.

PolarMax Active wear pants are very thin, light and work very well unless you're standing around in the cold. Especially if you're in the shade. Much easier than many thermals meant for real cold and minimal bulk. Seems to wear better than silk.

This is going to be a little roundabout but please bear with me. Back when I was hunting, it seemed like my feet would always get cold when not moving around. That made it difficult to keep quiet when out at the stand. Even with the best hunting boots I could afford my feet always seemed to lose heat.

Fast forward to present day. My various medical issues have raised concerns about my feet and lower legs as far as circulation and fluid retention. As a result of medical recommendations I have started wearing light compression socks that come up close to my knees. I found compression socks of the right strength that were the house brand of a local department store for $8 a pair. My doctors have noticed better circulation in my feet and legs which has resulted in a diminished fluid retention. And I started noticing how my feet were consistently warmer.

Now I'm not saying that the compression socks can be a substitute for a good pair of woolen socks, but this really caught my attention and at $8 a pair it seems potentially like a pretty inexpensive way to deal with keeping your feet warm.

I wear long underwear by 32 Heat. Very thin s as nd you don’t even know you’re wearing them.

I have Carhartt lined pants and bib overalls. Nice to have when temp was minus 20 this last week.

I have those two, plus the full jump suit, for when it got REAL cold , when I had to work eight hours in the Winter as a

Ironworker, placing rebar or connecting "Red Iron", for a living.

Good shoes and Gloves were also a must.

You know it is cold when you take a "Coffee break" and ice sickels
are stuck to your full ski mask !!

Long time winter weather motorcycle rider.

I've found knee length wool ski socks do the trick for me. When wearing them in cold weather, I don't need the lined pants.

You may want to consider Filson wool pants. They are made of virgin wool and do not cause itching. They are soft, warm and durable. When wet, they retain 80% of their heat retaining value.

Quite in the woods, they do not emit odors and they look great! I am a Filson Freak and proud of it too!

Duluth Fire Hose trouser are the bomb, they come lined or unlined and are just stretchy enough to be a comfortable for my shooting activities as my original M1951 field trousers. I have never found anything as comfortable until I found Duluth trousers. Its a good thing because it has gotten very difficult to find 1951's in a proper size, I had to get the last pair shortened but they fit perfect and will probably last the rest of my life.

I just bought some Eddie Bauer Ascent pants on Amazon for about 50 bucks that are fleece lined. They come in several colors and I got Navy blue and they look like a typical pair of blue pants that I could wear to a nice restaurant. They're very warm and also shed the snow, wind, and rain and I think I'll like them a lot.
