Warm pants?

Way back was invited to go Deer Hunting in the UP.
Not far from Escanaba.
The cabin was owned by my Buddy’s Dad and Uncle.
When I arrived wearing the warmest coat I had, a GI Parka with fur hood, they just went ballistic!
You look like a Bear!
I wound up wearing a Filson that belonged to one of them.

This post instantly made me think of the movie Escanaba In Da Moonlight. Escanaba in da Moonlight (2001) - IMDb

My legs almost never get cold, even in -20 degree wind chill conditions while wearing regular jeans or khakis.
You would be surprised how much warmer your legs can be if you will simply wear a light pair of pajama bottoms under your regular pants. That thin extra layer makes a difference, and if conditions warm up you can take the panama bottoms off and stash them somewhere for the rest of the day.

I have a couple of pairs of LL Bean's flannel lined jeans. They
are warm in the cold, especially when the wind is blowing. And
they last a long time.

I swear by flannel lined jeans! Perfect for doing anything and are much more comfortable than wearing long underwear etc under jeans. I wear them golfing in cool weather, hunting, cutting wood, whatever you wanna do.

LL Bean, Bass Pro/Cabelas, and many other brands are out there.

I live in the UP, so no stranger to cold temperatures. My preference is Wrangler thinsulate jeans.
i have worn the flannel and fleece lined but thry are cotton blends and are not as warm as thinsulate lined. I get them off the shelf at fleet farm stores in Wisconsin. Other stores that carry wrangler can get them. Feet are probably more important to keep warm. For work i wear leather safety toe boots that have a fiberglass safety toe that meets the ansi standard and have 200 g thinsulate insulation. Wool or wool blend socks for cold weather. I am an electrical worker so inside and outside which makes footware a challenge. The light insulation also helps in the heat of summer and in hot power plants. A boot dryer also a necessity, as snow comes in November and is usually here until March or later.
