Hello everyone I am new to the forum and a have purchased my first smith and wesson weapon it is a M&P 15, I have wanted a AR since before I went into the service and finally purchased one 2 weeks ago. First was very disappointed that after spending $1100.00 the rifle was handed to me in a cardboard box (no hard case) where cheaper AR's come with a hard case, second problem was that after getting it home i noticed 2 grooves "carved" into the upper receiver above the ejection port and several areas missing the finish,I took it back to the dealer, which sent it back to smith and wesson for repairs, it arrived to smith and wesson last wed. to there "mail" facility, called today and was told it was in the "long gun facility" yesterday but do to snow storms they were behind on repairs and had to bring in a SECOND gunsmith. Really a SECOND guy ? This large company only has 1 person repairing there long guns ? Please tell me I didnt go wrong buying this weapon ? Sorry for the long post
