We Stand with The NRA

I have been a NRA Lifer since the mid 60's (last century). Haven't always agreed with them, but have always supported them. We must stand together.

God bless the USA, and the NRA members.

Leon

Had this calendar page for 40 plus years, can't remember who, or what company gave it to me. I still like it.

I don't agree with every stance or position advocated by the NRA and / or some of its talking heads...but the fight to maintain our 2A rights is a worthy one and can literally be the difference between life and death under circumstances we see reported on the news everyday.

For that reason alone I recently upped my NRA membership to "Life".

I take the constitution and the 2A seriously, as stated in the oath I took back in the 70's. Nothing has changed since...nor will it ever.

Just sent my NRA-ILA gun owners poll in WITH a contribution....even the mere $27 adds up if everyone that belongs to the NRA makes a contribution....might not seem enough, but if you only pay dues, the extra dollars given to the cause is worthy...in my opinion.

I get sick and tired (and I'm really a fairly mellow guy) of posters on various Forums complaining about the NRA and their constant calls and letters seeking money.

I was getting too many calls 10 or 15 years ago, simply called, asked them to stop and now I only get what I think are important "stuff" from them. My wife has never called them and she still gets very few letters, and has never gotten a phone call.

I support them, just wanted a break from the calls and they were very polite and accommodating to me.

I can't imagine they'd treat other members any differently than they have treated me.

I have to wonder, when I see these "pile ons," if those folks are really members or really having all those unsolvable problems.

I am old, slow, and can't operate my computer efficiently, of late, but has anyone else tried to open Tom Sellick's web sight, with sucess?americanrifleman.org/sellick. It is probably my fault, but, I can't make heads or tails of it. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Well said, Handejector.

By the way, did anyone here catch Wayne LaPierre's speech at CPAC the other day? I saw it in its entirety on Fox News (I don't know if any other network carried it), and saved it on our DVR. He cut right to the bone, with something few on the other side are willing to use - the TRUTH. It ought to be required viewing for all the newfound kiddie proponents for gun control who have reacted with emotion and not found the time to logically research their subject.

I would like to see another large group of Americans step up in support of the NRA. Just think if the rest of the country saw something like a million or two new vocal Veterans joining the NRA. I know a huge number of vets are already members but there must be more out there. It could make some of the companies cowering to the social media mob re-think their position in pulling NRA support. My 91-year-old WWII vet father, who was never much of a gun guy, is going to get a gift of an NRA membership. I’m just trying to decide how optimistic I should be, and should I give him a Life membership?

If everyone on this forum joined, it would make quite a difference.

Heck yes get him a Life Membership, or at least a 5 year membership. Last year at our Veterans Appreciation Day we celebrated one veteran's upcoming 104th birthday.

I am a member of the NRA because they protect my 2nd amendment rights and I do not own a rifle. However right now I am angry with the
companies like Symantec, (Norton) Alamo, Enterprise Rental, United,
& Best Western regarding pointing a finger of blame against us and the
NRA. And now BOA just jumped on the band wagon, by sending out letters
to gun makers asking them how they can reduce mass shootings. If a company
or financial institution is anti NRA I am looking for someone else to do
business with. I think this rush to blame the NRA is going to backfire.

I was not aware that I might get a discount for being an NRA member
at motels. I will be asking in the future if there is a discount. More than
just being a member of the NRA I am pro gun rights. I won't patronize
companies that come out against 2nd amendment rights.
