Welcome To My World...

Did mine this morning with the old 1939 Ford tractor. Winds blowing like crazy. Didn't make it to the gym, library and post office. Maybe tomorow.
Reloaded several hundred 45ACP and now I am going to watch "The Man of Steel" after I put a few more logs on the fire.
Might have to crack that bottle of Jack "Honey" and fire up a Montecristo.

I do love those montecristos. And a fire place...

But they won't put a fire place on my semi truck. It would save fuel so I don't have to idle the engine for the heater to work... And my company is based in Wisconsin, and most of our freight moves between Wisconsin and new york, down to Georgia, and back up again. I have an appreciation for the people who live in the snow and work hard in the winter to move and organize it, but I'll stay at my home in Georgia

That ain't cold.....that's fresh.

Here in Iowa when the temperature gets below zero we change to long sleeved shirts.
Jim

There was a time when the temperature rose to -10 and we were taking off our big jackets in favor of the next layer down... And then I was done being in the army and went back to Georgia ;)

Yeah, it got a little chilly here today after the rain quit and the wind picked up. I thought I was going to need to put on a jacket over my short sleeve shirt when I was filling up the truck at the service station this afternoon.:o:D

CW

I'm with you, man. Go dawgs.

This is scary...I actually knew that was a Jacobsen snow-blower before Sebago Son identified it. I was a snow-blower/small engine mechanic for a few years after high school. Pretty rare machine...even back then, 35+ years ago.

Drew, get yourself a new Ariens....they even have heated grips now! :D

My brother-in-law's dad dropped dead this morning with a snow shovel in his hand. He was a kind and gentle man. Spent time in a "relocation center" during WWII because he was of Japanese descent, but never said a bitter word about it.
RIP Frank

Please be careful out there.

Sebago Son....good luck out there. Hope those LL Bean boots reach up to your neck, you might need 'hem that high with the nor'easter. Stay warm!

77 here in gun friendly az....If I want to see snow drive 1.5 hours north and bingo, wouldn't live anyplace else....

79f today... ;)

That is just wrong.......So very wrong.........Just a saying so very wrong...I'm trying to think of something catty to say... Like you got Pelosie, Waters and Moonbeam, but that isn't good enough...May 100 wetbacks defecate in your lawn......I know not good enough, will be 3% here tonight and more snow coming Sunday...

Nothing like dropping the trailer up at Fraser paper in Madawaska when it's -15 or so. Took 2 of us and 6 feet of chain to pull the kingpin cuz the grease was so cold. At 1500 or so for an idle, the motor would sort of hold a temperature. 411 miles to Buzzy's.

Um, what is that thing?

I don't know where to start?

First; what is that white stuff?

Second; what is that? Some kind of lawnmower or tiller stuck in the white stuff?

You see, in Texas, we have neither that stuff on the ground nor those devices...

That is what I call the simple man's meal.

Steamed dog and bowl of tomato.:)
Fried Bologna.:)

As you can see I know a lot about being an aristocrat.:D

Still coming down in Boston.

-2*F out there now... snowing and blowing. A fresh 6" fell last night and another half a foot on the way.

I had something similar growing up in central Massachusetts in the early 60s. I still hate it ! That thing could get tuned up to start right away UNTIL it saw the first snowflake - then it turned into the evil lump of dead snowblower.
