My 2013 restoration, what the blade can't push, the flames melt!

I wish I had a cab, but my 4 wheeler with a plow does good on ours, neighbors and kids drive ways. A big storm keeps me busy all day to get er done, then a big shot or 2 of red stag black cherry. Have to do it every snowfall or it gets too deep. Still like the winter time, grandkds have a blast.

Got mine out today as well.
My lovely wife and 2 grown daughters chipped in to
buy the old man a Cub Cadet blower 3 years ago
for Christmas. Best dang gift i ever got. Those darn
shovels is for young guys with strong backs.

There it is fixed :D.

Long, long ago in the youthful Wisconsin universe; shovelling 1 single and 3 double driveways before going to school was no big deal. One year I made $20 before Christmas when minimum wage was $0.75 per hour. I'd give anything to have those back bones and muscles again.

Gotta love a gravely, grew up with a L1 and a L2 the plows were great till they hit a frozen in stone that was raised in the driveway. Don't get between the handles they come around quick. When I was about 10 I learned why they call it a walk behind. I was up between the handles, she came side ways and took me down remember always plow in low range.

About 18 inches here in my part of the Southern Tier of Upstate NY, on top of the 6 or 8 inches we received the last week or so that was already on the ground. 6am this morning I turned on the weather broadcast to learn it was -34 degrees below 0 with the wind chill. The ice on the windows should have been a clue, never seen that before.

This "Global Warming" climate change thing would surely be welcomed just about now. Good times fellers'....good times.

Cheers;
Lefty

The day started good, looking out the east window. Sun and broken clouds. The thermometer is out the west window, which had grey sky, wind, blowing snow. Meter read -9F. The mosquitoes are flying slower today, and 7 shot seems to work on them.

It's supposed to get cold on Monday. Rochester, MN (wimpy city folk) has already announced school closings for Monday. I may have to find a pair of gloves. The wind seems to be blowing the roads clear, except for the occasional finger drift. I may have to take Monday off, as working outside with water probably wont be much fun. Uff da!!

In my part of the world we are missing the snow but get the cold, at 8:30 this morning it was -13 . Right now it's +1. It not cold enough for spit to freeze before it hit the ground yet.

I had something similar growing up in central Massachusetts in the early 60s. I still hate it ! That thing could get tuned up to start right away UNTIL it saw the first snowflake - then it turned into the evil lump of dead snowblower.

aint that the truth.
the closest thing ive seen to a solution was the 120V corded starter on the sister in laws machine.
plug it in and grind till it cant take no for an answer
