What 1 Year Of Your Life Would You Want To Experience Again?

Ahhhh. To be 23 again. She was/still is beautiful. 5'7", 120 lbs, dark tan, brunette hair and steel grey eyes. She worked for me as my assistant from 1982 until 1984. April 15, 1984, tax day, she asked me why I had never asked her out. I told her that with working full time and going to school I did not have time for much of a social life and did not want the complications of a working/dating relationship. She quit on the spot and demanded that I ask her out. Long story short, complications from her x caused her to move to another time zone. I should have married that one. That was one HELL of a GREAT two year ride. We are friends to this day and talk a couple of times a month.

2005. I had made some money, enough to let me give myself a sabbatical. Not entirely free from work, but did a lot of traveling, including a couple of months on the road with my dog, my van and a couple of dirt bikes on a trailer, followed by a bike trip to Copper Canyon.

Next best, 1970-71. A year in Europe traveling, driving a fork lift in a potato chip factory and enjoying the young ladies of Scandinavia and Holland.

1968, early out from the service. I remember walking down the street reading my discharge orders, walking on air. Got out a few days before Christmas. The start of the rest of my life.

October 1978 through September 1979. I was about to be thirty. I had a very bad experience with a girl the Summer of '78. I was 29, she was 19, which might have had something to do with it. I had decided the heck with it; I'd just go through life single, because I had always been pretty content. Then, in October I started dating the girl who was to become my wife. That was the absolute happiest I had ever been in my life. We started dating in October, were engaged by Christmas, and married in June. We celebrated thirty years last June. Thirty extremely good years. I realized then, and still know, that I got real lucky.

Scuse me if I got all sappy.

My first year of marriage. It was awesome and 20 years later we still have the fire, but man oh man.... to be 23 again with my wife at 20 years old. Not to mention that was when I was stationed at SBU-20 and that was a hoot as well.

1975 - I was three years out of college, making good money and single. Bought a new '75 Corvette Coupe L-82, Red with Silver leather. All the options, $7200 including tax. Really enjoyed that car and all the fun I had with it for two years.

There is no doubt, 1964, the opportunities that I missed that year because of lack of experience and maturity have altered my entire life.

2003, I'd tell myself to wait a year or two to enlist and enjoy being young and free and still thinking the world was all a game.

1962 - Deanne in the afternoon after school. Mary Ellen at night, mostly at the drive-in movies. Two lovely ladies!! The start of a lifetime of pure corruption.

My sophomore year of High School, 1964-65. That was an excellent vintage, a couple of girls I remember well....

The last half of 2001 and the first half of 2002. I courted and married the love of my life.

I can point at 8 or 9 different years I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. Outside of them, most were good, all for different reasons. Probley 1960 through 1964 were the most exciteing, but also most dangerous and wild. I was 19 through 23 then.

:) I saw this post I think yesterday, and could not
make up my mind what year. There have been so many
good years. I am 67 now so I thought 1942 the first year.
Just live it all over again. Don

I can narrow it done to one day. 9-7-86. That was the day I met my second wife. Married her a year to the day later. I should've never went to the mall that fateful day. We divorced for religious differences. I was Baptist, she was Satan.

I would have to answer 2 years 1993 and 1994.Those were the years I courted and married my wonderful wife Ginny. She was in Maine and I in New York with many many weekends of flying to Portland and back to spend time with her.Every year since has been outstanding because we love and rely upon each other.......God Bless.....Mike
