What age group frequents what forum?

I'm just grateful there are so many revolver fans, esp the pre-60 ones!

Sent from somewhere between the Ohio territory & the neutral zone.

I really like this forum because we are all able to chat like adults. I have only worked for one employer for the past 37 years. I have changed the uniform, but I still work for Uncle Sam. My wife and I have no children so we don't really have a clear concept of how old we are. It is a bit disconcerting when the O3's could be our children and the O6's are younger than I am.

I like the friendly atmosphere here.

I'm 6 months older than my teeth. I have outlived my hair by about 20 to 25 years....so far.

BUT

I do have an AR-15. I like to hold it in my lap whilst watching zombie movies and when things start lookin' bad for the good guys I "help 'em out".

So you can see that I ain't old. You CAN see that, right?

Sorry, can't see diddly anymore buddy. Lost a lot of my sight after looking at fat tom's selfie

Well, a lot of you guys probably have socks older than me. :D
I'm 36.

I peruse (mostly, and in no particular order):
Revolvers - 1961 to 1980 and 1980 to Present - Fun to read and participate.

M&P - I post there some, but that forum is mostly a spectator sport. ;)

The Lounge - Speaks for itself. :D :D

The Office - I try to help people solve minor problems if I can.

Guns For Sale - It's fun to ogle all of the gorgeous guns up for sale, plus I located my Model 19-3 there.

Accessories For Sale - Fun to buy, sell, trade, and ogle.

2A - Speaks for itself.

I am kinda new here and find this forum very refreshing and interesting probably because I can relate to many things beside the guns in the lounge...I kinda hang in the M&P section and revolvers most of the time when I'm not in the lounge which you never know what the next subject might be....as Chevy Chase said...."I LIKE IT"....I will be 69 this year by age,but mentally it varies from day to day....:D

I will be 69 this year but I refuse to grow up. I like a lot of different guns ranging from a Winchester 1892 made in 1893 to a Buckmark made last year. My S&W's range from 1926 to present and like to shoot revolvers more than semi-automatics. Last year I shot a better group with my 1941 Lithgow Enfield than the young man next to me shooting his AR-15. I love when that happens.

I still use a flip-phone. It has no internet and I cancelled texting.
I've never been on face book, don't tweet, and I use gasoline to fuel
my truck. I'll use power tools but prefer hand tools.
I'm only 43, but I hate change.

On second thought, change is a part of life. It's progress that I hate.
It leads to too many choices.

i come here for the great convsaytions . i too find this relaxing i do belong to another forum but only check in maybe twice a week 4x4 forum .but alot more action here and i learn so much and the people here are real people. other forums just have too many jerks. i like the way some of u share your lives cause everyones is different and so is mine i think it is really cool where some of u live and sometime i wish i was there instead of here. enjoy life everyone we are here cause we want too and can be and i like talking to everyone thanks

This was an interesting forum for me to join in on as I was not a wheel gunner---still consider myownself to be partial to semi's.
I joined because I got an itch for a couple of rollers--and I figgered that I needed to know something about them other than just cocking and trigger pulling.
I skim around and see what stars are alligned that strike my fancy.
I have put off an AR for years becuase, despite the enthralment, I just can't bring myownself to pull that trigger.
I like the lounge--or whater it is called on most places I visit---.
I am 73---going on dying.
Christian and infidel in looks and language, some of the time.
Age is typically not the best criteria, I have found---it is mentality.
I use to have mentality but my doc took me off it, said it was causing stress in others.
Did I tell ya'll I was 73---I can't remember.
BTW---what is the question ?
Blessings

My idea of a perfect day is when I empty a mag of my old M4 fodder at a running coyote.

Now my perfect day is just waking up.:D Middle 60's own two AR15's and one so far 15-22. Looking to gat a AK variant and a VZ58. Hope that makes me young but with all the aches and pains I don't feel it. I also belong to the Sig, Kahr, and AK forum but they don't compare to this one. I guess I'm too old fashion as I don't care for the younger crowd using some of the language and snide remarks when someone ask a question that they think they know and the questioner should know. I read all the new post on the forum just so I can learn and maybe contribute, I don't know everything and was wrong once. Long story there, I answered a question and thought I was wrong but I wasn't. Sure wish I was younger so I could keep up with the grandkids, maybe I'll get a couple more AR's and be young again.

Now that could be a idea for someone to make a poll and do the decades just to see what age groups are here.

I'm coming up on 2 years here. I visit many of the sub-forums and sometimes contribute, but I tend to spend most of my time right here in the lounge. I probably comment more than I should and more often than not, on topics that I shouldn't!

I just turned "double nickels" a couple weeks back. Some probably call me a smart ***, young punk and others I'm sure call me a blathering ol' codger (HB77:rolleyes:). I figure that puts me someplace around the center of the age bell curve.

It would be cool to know the actual demographics of the forum (age, location, gender, etc.). Anyone have a connection at the NSA (I mean other than a "file")?!?!?!?!:D

As a 68 year old curmudgeon I have a few auto pistols with my much carried series 70 Gold Cup my favorite. I do have a couple of those new fangled striker fired autos purchased in the last year also but doubt I will be buying any more autos unless something super special really catches my eye.

Have grown to appreciate the revolvers for a few reasons one biggie being they just look so good.

Now understand my definition of revolvers does not include anything that has a lock. I have a fair bunch of Smiths most of which I bought new in the 70-80s but lately have added to my modest accumulation. Heck I even purchased my first Colt last week (a very good shape older Dick Special)

So based on what I posted above you can see where I go on the forum. Add lounge, guns for sale and that’s where most of my time here is spent. FWIW I spend my idle (wasted as defined by my wife) time here or on a couple Corvette forums.

That’s my story and I’m sticking with it

I am going to be celebrating the 34th anniversary of my 36th birthday in June. Here is a list of thing I have that are older than you.
. No socks but a pair of boots and and my old Marine corps field jacket
. 1973 Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag
. circa 1900 British Webley MKI
. 1944 Colt 1903
. 1885 S&W top break .38
. a couple of different holsters
. a garage full of tools my dad left me.

You just hang on in there Hillbilly. You ain't got to the good part yet. ;)

I am 28 years old and I Love revolvers, I especially love S&W Double Action revolvers.
I really don't like the AR15 weapons platform to be honest,

I much prefer the M1A m1 Garand M1 Carbine single shot and double barrel shotguns.

I'm middle aged. I currently own or used to own guns across the entire spectrum.

I am a member of 3 or 4 forums but spend 99% of the time here. I use the others for reference.

I have visited every sub forum here at least once. Heck I even read the rules once!

But I mainly stay in the Lounge. There are so many class clowns here it must be a world record.;)
