What age group frequents what forum?

I'm 27. My dad took me shooting when I turned 10 and I hung out with him in gun shops growing up. My first gun was a used Hi-Point 9mm "carbine". I enjoy reading in this forum. There is so much I don't know. I enjoy the reloading section as I'm learning to load my own ammunition.

At 66 I'm another one of the "old guys", been on the S&W forum a couple of years. Not a regular on any of the others. The 1896 to 1961 is my usual sub forum, visit 3-4 times a day then drop off for a week or two.

This is only my first or second time in the lounge. The next S&W symposium is comparatively close (Columbus, OH) and was looking for comments/info from people who've been.

Small time collector, most consistent focus is on WWII Victories. Do most of my shopping on GB but also purchase
from a couple of the auction houses (RIA, etc.).

Over the last few years have watched several forums, this one is unique in my experience.

NOT GODS WAITING ROOM

But I'd venture to guess a majority have passed life's 1/2 way marker by a good margin. I don't think I'll make 114 y/o.

71. I don't have a AR not enough room in the safe. But if I had realized how evil and antisocial they were earlier. I would have bought one instead of the M1 carbine that took the last slot.

Safe size is not acceptable excuse to stop the accumulation. Putem under bed or buy bigger safe! :p

Or buy another safe... There's no law that says you have to stop at one. Two, three, four. Whatever it takes.

73 next month. Young in some thinking, older than I am in other areas. We are members of a ATV club and have club trail rides every saturday or so. I would estimate 80% of us are retired. We also recently joined a chapter of the EAA. (Experimental Aviation Association.) You would think that that would have been full of middle age pilots and owners but I was surprised to notice most of the members seemed to be close to my age just like in the ATV club. Both clubs seemed to lack younger and middle aged people. I am not a member of SASS but watching them a few times I notice most the members also seem to be older too. Whats up with that? I never was a joiner with any club or whatever when I was younger either. We joined the ATV thing as at my age and shape it isnt smart to ride by yourself 30 miles from the nearest road as something could breakdown and I am too out of shape to walk out! We got with the flying club as I need info and contacts to help me get in the air again, (or sell the plane). The thing I notice, interests go hand in hand. It seems that if you like guns, the people you associate with also like guns, motorcycles, ATV`s and airplanes.

I was fortunate enough to find this forum before I retired 3 years ago.It has offered me many laughs and a world of knowledge. It has kept me from feeling alone when I read from some posts tha seem to come from my thoughts. It has however caused me to spend retirement money buying a S&W every now and then.I have always admired them since my father let me touch and then shoot his 32 I frame.Bright nickel ,I thought it was beautiful. When I was 15 I knocked off a buzzard sitting in a tree with it.I just had my 80th birthday and was climbing trees during deer season,I recently bought an Armalite AR-10 because I wanted more thamy mouse guns.I hope I can enjoy meeting you folks here for a few more years.

I agree! My generation is way too obsessed with "doomsday" and "zombies" and "bug out bags." It's kind of sad, granted one should be prepared however there is an extreme in all things. Personally I love the Smith forum! Am also on and XD one, but never go anymore. Been thinking about a blade forum since I love knifes, but seems like a hassle now.
Don't loose all hope in us youngens though!

Amen to the obsesdion with zomies and such i'm 34 and most of my time is spent on the revolver forums browsing around looking at the beautiful wheelguns
