What are your favorite desserts?

Let's see....
Apple pie, cobbler, fried pies, whatever.
Peach, same thing, peach anything.
Blackberry, same story.
Lemon, yep, them too.
Chocolate everything.
Blueberry anything.
Chocolate chip cookies, or snickerdoodles.
My big 3 Christmas candies that I make: divinity, peanut brittle, and fudge.
Almost forgot, banana anything, and pineapple anything(as long as it's not canned)
I like ice cream, too.
Dang, I'm just so finicky.

Back in my puppy dog days - Mother made some excellent desserts.
But The one that my brother and I would fight for the last serving-
Banana Pudding.

I kinda' like Memma (from Finland).

Looks like some one took a dump in a box :p but taste like prunes :D

My favorite desert was a white cake with cherries and chopped walnuts in the batter topped with a boiled white frosting with cherries and chopped nut sprinkled on top. Alas I can no longer eat walnuts; so my wife found a sub....... cherry/pecan divinity !!!

My wife's (formerly my mother's) pineapple cheese cake.

My home-made granny smith apple pies, a la mode.(Tart enough that they need the ice cream to cut it=lot's of cinnamon)

If you want to try a dessert that'll automatically put a good twenty pounds on you...and you won't even care...ask Old Bear for his pound cake recipe. (Actually, it's Paula Dean's recipe, but I got it from Fred.) It's downright sinful...but who cares? Just keep telling yourself, "It's the Holiday Season, and besides, on me, it looks good!":D

Calling Old Bear!!!:D

If Paula had anything to do with it, it must have a "tad" of butter in it!

Creme Brule
Tres Leches cake (at least the one I had in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The one I bought at Publix was plumb nasty.)

You can get a great one at a CHUYS restaurant. They now have locations in Florida.:) I had theirs a few times but mostly had their Sopopillias with butter and honey, yuuummmmmmmm. :D

Many of the above but, I admit I make one mean and great strawberry shortcake. Others that can't be beat: Schwarzwald cake//German for: Black Forrest Cake// I'm trying to find a local bakery that will make one here, so I can send it to a member here for Christmas.

Oh, and I forgot coconut pie and coconut cake.
I'll mention this just because no one probably will. I know someone who make a really, really good fruit cake, no kidding.

I think my wife's out to get me.
I'm trying to keep my winter weight gain to a minimum.
So what does she do?
She's got a cherry cheesecake cookin' in the oven.
Oh well, there's always new years resolutions.

Said satan to Eve, go ahead, the fruit is wonderful, think of all the deserts you can make with this. Unfortunately speaking of deserts, they got theirs. This post has too many calories per yums!

once a year pound cake

boykinlp, just for you, here it is:

Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
Paula Dean's

Ingredients:

8 ounces (2 sticks) butter, softened
8 ounces sour cream
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup cocoa

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.

Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter, sour cream, and sugar; use a LARGE bowl. Add the eggs, 2 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla.

In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and cocoa. Add 1/2 the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, beat well, add the remaining 1/2 flour mixture, and continue to beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes if necessary, but do not open the oven to check the cake for at least 1 hour.

my wife's English trifle, poppy seed kołaczki, prune Pączki, blackberry ice cream,

I like blackberry pies, and I like vanilla ice cream. Orange or lime sherbet is more for a summer day 's snack when out shopping and I see an ice cream shop. Vanilla or chocolate are my dessert choices.

I've also enjoyed some fruit-flavored sorbets and gelatos.

The Blue Bell ice cream scandal was a real blow to me. It was my favorite brand. I hope they got it fixed.

Coffee and strawberry cake. But since I'm too fat I cut out on the cake, so just coffee for me.

This is a easy question.
cake yes
pie yes
candy yes
pudding yes
ice cream yes
jello yes
cookies yes.
See I'm easy to please when it comes to all the things that are under the dessert banner.
