I try to stick to the 4 basic food groups,

1. pizza (see note A)
2. chicken wings
3. cheesesteaks (see note A)
4. hoagies (see note A&B)

note A. (cheese counts as dairy product , no?)
note B. (lettuce , tomatos and hot peppers count as veggies , right?)

washed down by goodly amounts of cold beer!

This is a timely posting as just last tuesday I went to the doctor and now I'm on the Adkins diet. As the doctor said if my collesterol go's up we can take care of it he mostly want's me to get rid of the weight. It worked for me five years ago till I blew out my back and was idol for nine months.:(

It's dangerous for me to make a gallon(or 6 qt. -I have both sizes) of ice cream without inviting folks over to share it with. It will be gone entirely too quickly, and my health will not have benefitted.

When I go out to eat, the stuff they give you for free until your meal comes. Chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants. My forearm is going from the salsa to my mouth non-stop. At Johnny Carino's, the bread and dipping oil, I'll eat a whole loaf by myself. Then there's the potato chips. I'll eat half a big bag with one sandwich.

I had a stroke,so am on a diet. They say the first thing you lose on a diet is your temper!I believe it!If it tastes good, spit it out.My main weakness is Coca-Cola[Classic,with sugar].I used to drink a 6 pack a day and all the potato chips i could hold-now 1 Coke a day[with sugar],and no chips. :(

Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and spanish peanuts. Lately it's been Lil Debbie Spirit of America cakes and Diet Pepsi.

I like eating a huge bowl of ice cream immediately before I go to sleep, so all those calories can stick to my hunk body more effectively

Boy this thread is making me hungary. I've been on the weight watchers diet and have lost 42 pounds. I only have 20-25 pounds to go. The good thing is the Dr took me off blood pressure meds. Right now I am eating Pistachio nuts, 40 per day. My cousin moved to CA 40 some years ago and bought some land and planted 182 female Pistachio trees. He gave everyone at our Memorial day family reunion 5 quarts each, processed in garlic and salt, delicious.

Sweet Tea.....

Since moving to Texas, my only hope for sweet tea is McDonalds as everything else tastes watered down. If I make a gallon at home, I'll drink even more so going out to get one limits me somewhat.

Pasta, bread, and chocolate - washed down with Pepsi Max - or regular Diet Pepsi (Hey, I like the taste.).

Gads, a church picnic today - and my luck, no one ever brings spaghetti to a bbq. Probably no garlic bread, either. Chocolate would melt in this miserable Alabama muggy heat. I went to my wife's friend's birthday party on a lake yesterday - nothing but hot dogs, burgers, & beer there - and I ran out of Pepsi Max. Maybe I'm too picky... naw, there is always bread... whole wheat hot dog buns aren't bad - I'll make some garlic butter for today - it won't need help to melt in today's projected heat!

I like most foods. Unfortunately! As far as snacking, ice cream. It used to be Krispy Kremes. But that addiction was really bad. A dozen Krispy Kremes, many filled with creamy custard. Freshly made at the shop down the road. They wouldn't make it to see the next day. It was horrible. I kicked the habit. But I still think about it everytime I pass by the shop. Deluxe mixed nuts? Another problem. Except for the Brazil nuts, aka...nevermind. Not politically correct to call them that any more. Don't care for those. But once that can was opened, it wouldn't last long. Funny thing is, I can't stand any kind of nut chopped up on or in other foods.
And then there's plain milk chocolate Hershey bars.
Ok. Back to my cup of coffee. Sure wish I had a warm Krispy Kreme, or 12, to go with it!:p

Misty-

We can't refer to Brazil nuts as such now? Planter's Nuts still calls them that on their labels, as does the Kroger brand.
Actually, I think that's Private Selection, but I get it at Kroger.

We get along with Brazil. Heck, half the models for Victoria's Secret are from Brazil, and lots of people want Brazil to win the World's Cup in soccer. Is there some new PC issue with the nuts? I know they used to have another, slang, name, and that is surely now not PC. (It probably applied only to the nuts in their uncracked state.)
