Last week Mrs. MTB1BKR made out the menu as always and then bought the groceries. She said we were going to have ribs for Memorial Day. I thought, Cool, ribs are always good. Well, Sunday she started cooking with a 1 gallon bowl of tater salad, and cheese cake and a 6 quart crock pot full of baked beans. Once all of that was taken care of, she pulls out two full racks of ribs to get the rub on them and get them ready for cooking. Right then I said, who's coming over tomorrow? She said, no one, why? Well, she had already prepared enough food to feed more than the two of us and our 2 and 4 year olds rugrats. So I called up some neighbors and invited them. One couple, I didn't actually call them until about 2 hours before showtime because they are only here on the weekend and I don't normally get holidays off. Imagine all of there shock when I told them they didn't have to bring anything. We had food to feed everyone and leftovers for lunch and dinner today. We also threw on some burgers and dogs just in case. Here's a good pic of the grill loaded up!!

I didn't put any protection with this as I didn't want to melt the tupperware and I'm not putting any blued steel on there. You can check in the early hande ejector forum for my most recent protection.

Well it's 5 a.m. and I worked all night but I'm thinking of grilling a steak for breakfast. If the hotdogs were done I think I could frame your picture.
For Memorial Day we did london broil on the grill, asparagus from the garden and fried potatos with onion.

I was on a diet after stomach surgery that allowed nothing but soft food...Dang, that sucked! I smelled BBQ's going in the neighborhood and it was murder. That spread looks mighty fine to me.

Steaks on the grill, roast asparagus, roast fennel, roast garlic, potato salad, slaw, G&T with a splash of bitters, and Tecate with Clamato. Four kids and eight dogs.
