What Did You Reload Most Recently?

Just a week or two ago I reloaded about 350 38 special rounds with 148 grain wadcutters over 3.3 grains of Bullseye.

There's quite a range of calibers mentioned in this thread.

I did switch to .45 hardball loads in nickeled cases, as long as the presses were all set up for .45. I used up the bag of 100 Winchester 230 grain FMJs that was lying next to the loading table. Now I need to figure out where I put the other bags.
 
The .250 is one of my favorite rifle rounds. I've killed most of my deer with a Ruger 77RL in .250.
It's one of the rifle rounds I need to get to during this reloading binge.
 
Friday I loaded 100 pieces of .40 S&W over SR-4756, a mix of 180 gr FP and 180 gr HP/XTP. Yesterday I put together 60 pieces of 5.56/.223 using M193 55 gr FMJ and ARMSCOR 62 gr FMJ. Absent W-748 and Varget I am testing loads over H-335 and AA-2460, both of which are available here. I also found a brick of CCI #400 primers so, life is good. :)

Just finished up 50 .38 Specials using 3.5 grains of Bullseye and my own cast Lyman 358439, which is the HP version of the 358429. I also loaded 50 more using the same powder charge and the Lyman 358311, the 160 grain LRN. I use these in my pre-14.
 
Just loaded 500 rounds 9mm on my dillon square deal. Used 124gr rn bullets I cast and some of the 10 pounds of IMR pb that I got for $11 a pound. Also 400 rounds .38spl with 147gr swc with ww231.

Chuck, that load(different bullet)of Bullseye has been my staple for many a year. Those hollow points sound interesting though! ;)

Where did you get the idea for loading the 40 with SR4756? ;)

I think I am going to follow your lead on the 223 though. There isn't any BL-(C)2 to be had anywhere near here! I use Varget for my tack driving rounds and BL-(C)2 for volume loadings with 55gr bullets.

I have had this repeated dream about the number 4756. :D Actually I had been reading all of the threads about it and did some research. I became convinced when I saw the numbers on the Hodgdon site and realized that SR4756 would give me almost 1,000 fps with a 180 gr slug with less pressure than any of the other equivilent loads.

As far as the .223 is concerned, I have loaded some 55 gr M185 as well as the 65 gr Sierra and 62 gr ARMSCOR bullets over H335 as well as AA2460. I got cloverleafs with M193 over 24.0 of H335 as well as the same charge of 2460. I had to push the 62 gr harder with H335 but I did get a good group and really had no pressure signs. I loaded all of these in new Lake City brass that was trimmed to minimum and then loaded with CCI #400 primers. I hand seated the primers firmly.

If there is any interest I will post a range report on the .223 loads.

44-40 w/American Pioneer BP substitute for a Winchester 73
30-06 w/ 165gr cast & 10gr RD for my 03 Sedgley Sporter
8x56Mann/Schoenaur,,200gr Norma RN, 44gr 4350, reformed Rem 8x57 brass
7.62x54R...just 10rds of steel cased mil..pulled the mil bullet, reduced the powder charge
by 5gr and reseated a Rem 150gr .308 RNSP. See if it targets well enough in a
91/30 for hunting this fall for a friend. Used 32acp dies to size the
necks and seat. 45-70 shellholder kinda works!

6.8 SPC: Hornady 110 Gr V-max over 28 Gr of Ramshot X-Terminator (look out varmints!).
10MM: Plated 180Gr flat nose over 11 Gr of AA#7 (target/accuracy load).

My most recent reloading chore was 100 rounds of 308, 168gr Sierra Matchkings over a charge (can't remember the grains now) of 748. I find that I can use 748 powder which works great through a powder-measure for 90% of my rifle reloading, 223, 308 and 45/70.

I'm about to load a batch of 9.3x74mmRimmed with a Hornady 286 grain .366 bullet, and also some Nosler PBs in the same weight and bore-diameter. I'll probably use H-380 for that, haven't located good data for 748 yet although I'm still looking.
 
Getting ready for Camp Perry and starting to load up some match .223 ammo for the short line.

LC99 brass
CCI 400 primer
Sierra 77gr matchking
24gr Varget

I spent most of the fall prepping brass (3,500 pieces) and now it's time to throw powder & pull the handle. 100 rounds down...3,400 to go.
 
9mm 124 gr jhp (with max recommended charge of Unique per latest Speer reloading manual).
 
100 rounds of .38 Special, 110gr. Hornady HP, 4.0gr of Unique

50 rounds of .38 Special 158gr. LRN, 3.6gr. of Unique.....shot some of them
today.....wow.....smokey! I was gagging at the range!!
 
180 rounds of .44 Special--250 K. from RCBS mold over 18.5 g. of Lil' Gun in Win. cases with Wolf L.p. primers. Heavy load that I use in my Mag. revolvers and rifles only. (From John Knutson's "44 Special Heavy Loads" write up on Handloads.Com.) My puma chokes on some of the Mag. cartridges with the 250K.. so I tried these. Feed great and get just under 1500 fps out of the 16". More accurate than I am. They shoot beautifully out of my ported Trail Boss as well.

I have loaded a few to try to just find what will do the best, 9 gr 2400 in front of 38 gr lead 225107 cast bullet with small rifle primers, more of the same with 9.5 gr and mag pistol primers, more with 10 gr 2400, have not had a chance to test will shoot in model 53 8 3/8 barrel with a El Paso Weaver 2 power scope off a rest. I will give results and what works the best when I try them.

1000 rounds of 9mm with 125 gr bullet for my 686. As a target round it is nice, just need to twick the load some and close the group up.
 
240gr Soft points with 2400 for 44 Mag. I will change the progressive press to 30 carbine next. I have about 500 cases waiting for me.
 
400 rounds of 9mm on my Lee LOADMASTER, with 6.8 gr Acc Arms No. 5, CCI small pistol primers, and Winchester 115 gr FMJ, and they clock at 1180 fps out of my S&W Mod 39. A good "service" load, and since I have three more pounds of #5, I guess I'll load a lot more of these.

Also twentyfive rounds each of the same primer and bullet with TITEGROUP 4.4 gr, avg 1097 fps; 4.5 gr, avg 1155fps; 4.6 gr, avg 1168 fps (LO=1187, HI=1223, AVG=1205, ES=36.02, SD=14.00 - - most promising) and 4.8 gr, avg 1205 fps, a "snappy" load.

I'm next going to load a hundred with 4.6 gr for accuracy testing. Could be a bit more economical than #5, and lower my cost from $145/k to $136/k. (I'm still shooting "pre-crisis" primers and bullets).
