What do you actually CCW?

With all the guns I own, I always wind up carring my LCP.It seem to be the only thing that is comfortable in my pocket.Poor choice probably.

For every day carry, Kel-Tec P3AT .380 in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. If I'm spending a lot of time in the big city, I carry either a Kel-Tec PF9 9mm in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster or IWB, or a Taurus PT745 .45 ACP also in an Uncle Mike's IWB.

Looking for a good J frame or Colt D frame, for those times I need to scratch the revolver itch.

carried every day with 135 gr Gold Dots

A Sig P229 .40 DAK. On my side at all times outside of the house. While at home, my preference is my M66 with a 4" barrel. I feel adequately armed 24/7.

I always have my Model 60 with me, either in a Galco pocket holster or a Bianchi 9R upside-down shoulder rig. I also frequently carry a Springfield Champion (Combat Commander clone) in .45 ACP. In fact, until the J-frame made me "lazy," it was an every day carry since 2002. I just came back from a trip to the Phoenix area on business, which took me to one of the most dangerous areas of South Phoenix, so I carried both. I always have at least one speed loader for the 60, and two extra mags for the .45 (three mags total, one in the gun with 230 grain hollow points, an extra with hollow points, and one with 230 grain ball). I plan on carrying both most of the time in the future, as a recent shooting in my "safe" neck of the woods, reportedly perpetrated by a person weighing about 300 lbs, has made me re-think carryig only a +P .38 in a snubby. Although comfortable and likely to stop any confrontation, I think I'd rather be able to deliver a few 230 grain HPs to somebody like that, should it become necessary.

Model 296 & 200gr Gold Dots - carried in a pocket holster by Robert Mika. If the front pocket is marginal in length, I have the smaller sibling, a 642 with +P 158gr LHPSWCs in a similar, but smaller, holster. Neither combo is a 'fun' shooter - but fulfills the need of effective protection.

That's a Buck Custom Shop 110 with nickel silver/orange Fiji wood and a BG-42 blade.

While working as a PO I carried a 1911 of some sort almost all the time, on duty and off for 30 years. Now I find myself carrying my 337Ti with a bobbed hammer and trigger job everywhere I go. When I go up in the Mountains which I do frequently it is either my 3" 66,v 3" 686 or 4" 686 Mtn Gun.

I still feel better armed with a 1911 than almost anything else.

for years it was a model 36 in a ankle rig...as a rule now its my 686 snub in either a belly band or iwb...both work just fine

Some of these look pretty pristine. My carry stuff kinda ends up looking like this.

The stainless stuff does fair a little better.

You gotta do something about those grips...carry or not, those are just gross.

I carry a glock 23 in a Dillon 5JR-DL holster. Actually, it's a Mitch Rosen holster made for Dillon. As for belt, a double thick gunbelt from The Beltman.net of course.

Was carrying a 642-2 until the no lock 642-1s came out last summer. What an awesome little gun. Goes just about everywhere with me and the family. When I don't have it, I have a Model 38 close at hand. Both are loaded with the Speer Gold Dot 135 JHP Short Barrel loads. The 642 has Crimson Trace grips, the Model 38 Pachmayr Compacs. The Pachmayrs make shooting the little J-frames a pussycat and aren't too big.
