Today I was playing racquetball and one of my opponents stepped on my foot and I slammed the back of my head into the wall.
I have never had an experience like this in my life. It really didn't hurt all that much, but I went down on my knees, and felt like I was having an out-of-body experience. Like, I'm over here, and over there, and over there, which in retrospect was kinda cool.
My whole body felt like your foot feels when it goes to sleep, kind of a tingly, fuzzy feeling. I stayed on my knees for a minute or so, and it cleared up. I sat down for about 5 minutes, and resumed playing. In the locker room I saw a friend who was a chiropractor and told him about it. He looked in my eyes and said my pupils were not dilated, which was good. He said if I get nauseous or dizzy I should go to the ER. That's not happening, so I hope all is OK.
I got my hair cut shortly after, and my stylist said I have a BIG lump and it's turning red.
I'm just wondering, is the sensations I felt what happens with a concussion, and is there anything else I should be aware of? I really feel fine right now, and it only happened about an hour ago.
