What guns do you carry the most?

With the disclaimer that I don't carry a gun, but if I did, it would be the one I trusted the most and could hit the best with.

If it has to go to the police locker afterwards, so be it, and I will thank it for a job well done. At that point, I can go get another one.

I read all the posts in this thread, because I've been going around and around with myself, trying to decide on what I want to make my primary carry. I have a number of pistols, most of which I don't want to carry on a regular basis, because of size and because they are "nice." Which leads me to several comments I read, that go somewhat like: "I carry (gun) because I don't mind it going to a police evidence locker if need be." I can relate to that, because I wouldn't want to lose one of my "nice" pistols, BUT...my "nice" pistols are also my best and most reliable.

So, do I carry something that is "just ok and I won't mind losing" to the police or a thief, or do I carry something that is top quality and utterly reliable? When my life is on the line, the thought of losing the gun is secondary to losing my life.

I like the thought of carrying a Taurus PT111 (for example) in my car, versus my S&W 3913 TSW, for the reasons stated above...but I trust the S&W more than I do the Taurus. On the other hand, I wouldn't worry about the Taurus being stolen or seized by authorities (of course, I wouldn't want to lose any gun, but it wouldn't bother me as much.)

I'm also concerned about this and feel that carrying a lesser firearm puts one at a disadvantage when the stakes are at their very highest. Therefore, I've "solved" the problem by accumulating at least two of nearly every handgun I carry. :D

But to answer the OP's question, 640-1, 638-3, or Seecamp LWS32.

S&W M&P 9FS - duty carry
S&W M&P 45C - off duty carry.
Occasionally carry the Jennings J22 when I only have the option of slacks/dress shirt.
(pocket carry) - something is better than nothing.

My XD .45 is my favorite to carry. Even IWB I can draw it very quickly, but if I need more concealment I go with a little .25 auto I bought when I first started carrying. The Phoenix Arms .25 is accurate enough to hit a beer can at 50 feet.

lately, old bodyguard with swc 158gr cast over 3.5 bullseye. next most ccw is kAHR 380 with hornady XTP 90 gr over 4.2 power pistol.

Gov't model by a wide margin, followed by M28 and M38 with equal frequency (each for different conditions/purposes), and Glock 19 when the weapon is guaranteed to get and stay wet.

SW40VE, 15 rds. JHP on tap. Dont have to worry much about scratches or rust. EDC a Sigma

Off Duty/Concealed-

Cold-Glock 27

Mild-S&W 642 or my new/ole 38 bodyguard (depending on how I'm going to carry it)

Hot-Kel Tec P3AT

Always-NAA 22 mag revolver (this stays on me no matter whatever else I may be carrying)

I carry a S&W 5906 while working. I ride a motor at work so no backup for me. Off duty I mostly carry this:

Kimber Pro TLE II in a cheap Galco inside the waist band holster, appendix carry.
