What is your favorite pocket knife?

Stockman, whittler, Barlow, Scout/SAK.

These are the knives I carry/use most.

I've carried several "tactical" folders.
They are great for some uses, but nowhere near as versatile as the above mentioned designs.
One of my favorite "tactical" folders was a $10.00 S&W liner lock with a Tanto style, half serrated blade and a Carson style flipper.
I was somewhat saddened when I wore it out.
I may get another just because it's it's a great knife for the price.

At work, I carry a pocketknife, a Gerber Multi Plier, AND a HD Husky lockback folding utility knife that used disposable box cutter blades.

All three have their purposes.
The Multi Plier is just there for when I need pliers or screwdriver and I'm not near my service van.

I've had a Gerber Easy Out and a Bear MGC that I used at work, until I lost them.
I really miss those two.

I sometimes carry my Boker Magnum automatic with Tanto style blade.
That one is the handiest, since I only need one hand and no room to swing it to open the blade.
You should have seen the looks I got at the company Christmas luncheon when I opened that one to cut my food.

I carry my Multi Plier every time I ride my motorcycle because it's easier to use than the little pliers from the OEM Yamaha toolkit.
Of course, since I bought saddlebags for it today, I can carry a LOT of tools.
Not that I expect it to break down. Then again, I don't expect to need my SR9, either. I carry it, too.

Antique folders are things of the past. I never bought into the medal handled blades with belt clips, though I have to admit they are far more useful and handier. They just do not have any panache or character. I carry many antique bone handled folders. Lately I have been carrying a Case 2 bladed, bone handled, carbon steel bladed knife with double cut swedges and a long pull main blade. It was made between 1905 and 1920.

I'd love to see a photo of it.

I don't have a photo handy, but my Graymam Dua is my current knife du jour.

The Purple Camo Kershaw Boa is my favorite daily carry

My most favorite is a Benchmade Mini Barrage. I have two of them. Right up there would be a Griptilian and a Kershaw Leek. I will sometimes carry a SAK or a trapper or stockman. There is always a Leatherman Micra in my left pocket.

In my bus bag, I carry a well-used Mora 612. I'll also stick a Mora in a front pocket (in its sheath, of course) if I think I might have use for a fixed blade.

My problem with photographs is, I am completely ignorant of these type of things. I operated million dollar machines but cant use my DVD player. My wife is an excellent photographer but she has found no simple way of posting. Taking a picture, cropping it, filing it in photobucket, then posting takes sometimes up to a half hour. We have poor internet service hear in the mountains. Our download speed at best is 3.7, and upload is 1.5 at its fastest. Now add to the mix, two young grandsons that are visiting "granny camp", and grandpa barely gets a goodnight kiss before grandma is asleep.

My every day carry is a Microtech Mini UDT. The 2 1/8" blade is enough length for 99% of what I need a knife for and the small size disappears in my pocket until needed. I've got other bigger knives but they mostly stay at home

My favorite right now is this Joe Pardue Utilitac II my brother-in-law gave me for Christmas last year. I have carried it every day since.

I'm quite partial to old school folders

As well as new school folders

I had my wife do a drive photo shoot of SOME of my antique folders. All are in excess of 50 years old, one is from the revolutionary war and one from the civil war. I have to apologize for the photography, the grandsons were on the way to a bath. If someone is interested after Granny Camp is over, we can do better pictures. There are Remingtons, Winchesters, Case, Honk Falls, New York CO, Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett, Keen Kutter, and others. There are some uber rare knives in here, there is a stag handle, baby muskrat knife from Remington, there is an explosives knife only built for 2 years in the late 1800's from the mining camp of Leadville, Colorado. Handles are everything from bone, ivory, MOP, Christmas tree, water fall, stag, to name a few. If you notice in the middle is a red handled Swiss Army Knife, that my 7 year old grandson got for his 7th birthday from his Grandpa and he insisted it go in with the mix. I have promised before to photograph my 9 knuckle Cole WWII dagger so I through it in as well. So here they are and if anyone wants a close up it should be available within a week.

eb07, the knife I talked about in an earlier post is in the second photo, 6th down. It is a small early Case.

I have to make a correction in the picture post. There are actually 5 knives that are under 20 years old I added because they were unusual.

Wow...that's a fantastic collection! I can't even begin to pick a favorite out of those, but I like the swell end jacks--especially the EOs--and the big Remington bullet shield trapper a lot. Dang there are a lot great knives there!

Have a 3 blade stockman Old Timer that I have carried forever, hardly has any blades left but it still does any job I give it,from skinning deer to stripping wire. Guess I should retire it but I just keep carrying it.

Favorite pocket knife is the Uncle Henry small trapper, the 285 UH, USA model. I ignored them for years and then one day I looked around and saw that it was a classic. I found one with about 1/8 inch broke off the clip blade and knew I could fix that. It became the daily carry favorite until I found its twin and they alternate now. Classic, useful and it reminds me of a lot of folks who swore by Schrade and all its permutations.

A Schrade+ LB3 USA single blade lockback that i've had for more years than I can remember
