What make/model gun is your favorite?

This is my favorite rifle. It's a Mauser from 1910, a guild built gun with the original stock. It's in 7.92 J...kinda hard to find ammo, but not impossible. I like it a lot because I got into the gun pretty cheaply and it's a fine rifle.

I have lots of favorites depending on application: for full size carry it is a BHP; for pocket/backup it is a 649-2; for fun shooting it is a 17-1 followed closely by a Ruger Mark 1; for trap singles it is a Remington 1100; for trap doubles it is a Remington 3200; for trap/hunting/sporting/all around with only one shotgun it is a Krieghoff model 32; and for rifles it is a 10/22 for fun and I got too old for big bore rifle hunting.

My favorite is my Colt Model "M" .380 ACP. It has been refinished in polished hard chrome and has Novak mini 3-dot sights. It certainly shoots much better than I, but it carries very well. JMB knew what he was doing.

My S&W 686-1, wish I knew how to convert iPhone photos into a URL. Until I figure that out, it is my profile picture on here, so hope that suffices. Never had an issue with it that wasn't my fault. Shoots great, and reliable as they come.

I own more than a few guns I really like, but since the OP excluded sentimental considerations and qualified the question as he did in his second post, I'd have to say a Weatherby Mark V. I guess I read too many hunting stories written by Weatherby-toting riflemen when I was a youngster. ;)

I am no admirer of the American "classic" rifle stock. My Mark Vs feel like they were made to fit me, though if I were special ordering I'd skip the skip-line checkering and the white-line spacers. My favorite is an old Euromark .300, which dispensed with those two features and substituted a matte finished stock in place of the high-gloss finish stock of the Mark V Deluxe.

Even though it's not the most practical gun I have, this little gem is my favorite. Colt Police Positive Special in 32 Colt New Police/32 S&W Long.

Made in 1958, it has an action so smooth, it will put a Python to shame.

50's vintage Browning Superposed 28" 20 gauge with factory IC/Mod chokes.
The first time I handled this gun I knew and it has not failed to please me every time I take it out.
Pair this thing with a brace of good Britts and you are set to enjoy one of the best experiences a wing shooter can enjoy.

My handguns are only revolvers and my favorite out of them is my model 14 6 inch. This gun just will not permit me to make a bad shot no matter how hard I might try.

My current favorite is the last gun I bought - a 686-1 Silhouette, sweet trigger and a joy to shoot.

You said you had a top 10, but there are only 9 handguns shown, Where is number 10?

It's sort of in progress. It's not a gun so much as it is a roughly 90 year old box, which Keith Brown has in his possession at the moment and will be making a set of reproduction stocks to fit the gun in the box to look as much as possible like the set in the flyer for the box (as it appears to have been his display model) :

At some point he will have the time to render the stocks in some old rosewood I dug up at a gunshow years ago (my friends were baffled when I came back to our table all excited carrying a 4 foot long log).

As it sits standard stocks like the magnas on the K22 (the gun the box was made for, as it's the only one that fits the front sight) in the photo are too wide for the box to close properly. So are standard service style stocks.

It may sound silly, but I think this box may be the favorite gun thing (including guns) I own.

It makes huge fireballs, big noise, is loaded with "cool" factor, and shoots tight groups. This 3" 65-3 would be the last to go. That it came with all the factory goodies is a nice bonus.
This gun goes on almost every range trip.

Shipped in 1960, my 6.5" Model 27 sporting some very nice Coke Bottle grips,

and my DS Arms SA58 FAL.

These are my two favorites.

Currently it's my Walther Compact PDP. Love everything about it.

Even more so after I added the Holosun HS507C-X2 ACSS Vulcan reticle.

No purpose at all
Favorite in terms of eliciting irrational exuberance just by owning, holding or shooting it.

Since I posted the Pythons a while back, I've thought about this part and have realized I had overlooked one.

My USFA, SAA, in 45 Colt.

(I got no idea why the "US" in the picture looks so beat up. It's not at all.)

I'm not really sure why I bought it. I'm not a single-action guy really, but as soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to buy it. Heck, I didn't even know what it was...I thought it was a Colt at first.

I haven't fired it a lot, but have put a half box of factory ammo through it. Mostly I just like holding it and waxing it from time to time.
