Maybe its just me.. but I think this was in bad taste... During the 7th inning stretch of tonight's game, the announcer asked everyone to "please stand and remove your hats" during the singing of God Bless America.

Then this goon comes up and sings. What is she wearing!? I guess she's from some Broadway show or something. I don't know.. if it were me I'd want to wear something a bit more classy.

We do. I didn't care for her costume but she could sing. With diction, pitch and voice control that was near perfect. Her pronunciation was at the master level with tonal sounds right on for maximum clarity and constenants clearly where they should have been. It is some kind of costume from a local review but she hit the song right on target.

I've seen worse, such as

Historically, men have removed their hats but women have not. Women's hats were part of an intricate hair-do/costume and could not easily be removed.

In keeping with tradition, I say "Off with her head!"

Have you noticed here lately, the "renditions" of how they are singing leaves a lot to be desired. What ever happened to the "Old version"? Many are putting their ethnic slant onto the National Anthem, which in my opinion is entirely unpatriotic.

What was that??

Both women look like something from a really bad science fiction movie.

I just listened to the Kate Smith version of God Bless America on Youtube, that was great!!

While "God Bless America" is a great, patriotic, song - It is NOT our National Anthem......

Around here, you must stand, remove your John Deere baseball hat, and face east when Lynyrd Skynyrd comes on the radio.

That's why Womens hat pins where so long, right through the hat and into the brain area. The rest is history:D

I don't remove my hat when the National Anthem is sung...

...because I render a hand salute. In the Marines, you NEVER salute without a cover on your grape.

The people in the pics quite obviously did not recieve enough love or attention as children and need an intervention by Dr. Phil!
