What was the inspiration for your Username?

My username has caused a little confusion over the years.

My nickname is Many, which was given to me by my mom. Many people have told me that since I go by Many, a name popular with people of Hispanic culture, and have the user name lowriderfxr and live in LA , that I am Hispanic and live in Los Angeles and work on the lowrider cars that are popular there.

Well the FXR or lowrider was a popular model of Harley Davidson discontinued in 1994. Its my favorite model and I still have one. I live in Louisiana and I've got a Cajun background.

I hope that clears things up!

It's "vorticity" from fluid mechanics, which I did for a number of years.

This website became my favorite place after I found it. Entertaining and informative. Basically replaced TV for me. I would grab a beer and peruse the many posts and pages. The most relaxing place I know, especially in this day of perpetual bad news.

My family is of Polish heritage.

My username is the Polish word for beer. It is pronounced "PEE-voh"

I had one on the desk when I had to pick a name. Seemed like the right choice at the time.

When I was working our work ID was our first initial and first 5 letters of our last name so I just carried that over. I now realize that this wasn't the best idea on social media and I would like to change it to something generic but more fun but just haven't gone through the hassle of trying to do so.

An old dog that I had. If we were walking with him on a leash and someone came up behind me that I didn't see he just bit them no bark or other noise. Had to buy a heavy muzzle for him.

Mine isn't gun or work related. I grew up in the 70s/80s. Was (kinda still am) a huge Star Wars fan. I was there at the beginning in 1977. Read a lot of the Star Wars novels in my youth. Kaarde comes from a series of novels by Timothy Zahn. It is the last name of a favorite character called Talon Kaarde. Nothing spectacular, just thought it would be easy to remember and type.

Mine is the first handgun that I ever bought 40 years ago and still own today.
