What was the last movie you saw, and did you like it?

I have always enjoyed Davi's acting ability. I have never undertstood why he has never gotten more popular and why he seems trapped, for the most part in more minor movies that major ones. He has appeared in some major flicks but never in a major part.

Just one of the many under rated/under appreciated actors in the industry these days. He makes a great bad guy. He has been in one or two of the 007 movies and was very good.

I always thought he was good--(ala) ovies like: Die Hard--as one of the two "Johnsons" who were FBI Agents. I think he probably doesnt get more roles because he aint a "pretty boy" like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt.

Most recent we went to the theater for was Maleficent. I enjoyed the special effects. The story line was kind of fun. The moral equivalence I could have done without.

Angelina was great in the role though.

Watched Noah last night.

With Russell Crowe I was expecting a movie that I enjoyed as much as Gladiator or Master and Commander. I was wrong.

I was wondering if that movie was good or not? but kept forgetting to ask.

Also, was his Robin Hood movie any good??

Sadly, I don't go to the cinema anymore because the audience is so rude, vulgar and disrespectful. I live in Cincinnati and took my grand children to see "Frozen" and was mortified by the language of the viewers. Horrible experience never to be repeated. This is the world we live in. Post script; "Blazing Saddles" & "Young Frankenstein rule!

Eh... it was ok. RH is not a movie I would watch more than once as I have with Gladiator.

Muchos gracias. I had hear it wasnt the "Errol Flynn" type of RH. If I can find a opy cheap enough? ill watch it. Im kind of surprized that AAMC has not shown it yet--or even Spike TV or FX. I see Gladiator played on one or the other about once a month.

Watched: Ambush, w/ Robert Taylor, John Hodiak, John McIntire, Chief Thundercloud and Don Taylor--again last night via DvD. This Western is fast becoming a top 20 favorite.

Watched "300:Rise of an Empire" and "Divergent" on DVD via Redbox yesterday, 2 for one special.

We enjoyed Divergent, it was a decently entertaining film, ok acting and directing. Good for daughters I would guess lol, as the heroine is a role model for 'girl power'. 3.5 out of 5.

"300" Part 2 was not as well done as the Original. Same icky fight scenes though, even more icky than before, if you can believe that. I felt it was a bit slow in parts but ok. 2 out of 5.

3 Days to Kill, with Kevin Costner, from the Redbox.

Funny, weird, poignant, and a bit of action. I liked it. 3 out of 5.

Endless Love; also at the Redbox. Even my wife wasn't impressed. 1 out of 5.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
I'd say its a proper equal to the original. While a good movie, I won't say great. No regrets about seeing it.
The time line of the story seems a bit off as there are events that appear to happen both before and after the first movie's story. Mickey Rourke is back as Marv. (Didn't he die in the first one?) Its worth the price of a ticket just to watch him kick butt. ;)

Two classics yesterday/last night thanks to TCM. As it was a 24 hour tribute to Ernest Borgnine (and VERY well deserved) I got to see: Marty--which im liking more and more as I see it each time. Well done Ernie!!!!! as well as: The Wild Bunch. WHY is it they played the best movie of the batch so darned late at night??????BTW, its hard to believe that he passed away in 2012--over a year already when it seems like yesterday.

Rest in Peace Ernie.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy the other day. I absolutely had a ball! Switch of your brain, sit back, and enjoy the ride. The soundtrack alone was worth the price of admission.

Also saw Lucy. Not horribly bad...typical Luc Besson movie. A bit thought provoking, but mostly just adventure and Scarlett Johansson.
