What was the last movie you saw, and did you like it?

I'm not a fan of Brad Pitt but we saw Fury a few days ago and I must say it was very entertaining. Not a chick flick for sure, alot of blood and guts but my wife even enjoyed it.

Just saw it friday. I really liked alot of things about this movie. Sad tosee that they cant have a sequal.

Classics last seen on TV:

Arsenic and Old Lace, The Green Berets, Vera Cruz and The Dirty Dozen. Cant get better-n--that.

Last night I watched "A Simple Plan" on NetFlix, one from a few years ago with Billy Bob Thornton and Bill Paxton. I give it a thumbs up. It is a study of greed and a very slippery slope. There's a couple of good twists at the end but some might consider this a Debby Downer movie because it doesn't have a happy ending.

Saw "Fury" with Brad Pitt last week with my son, a freshman in college, and we both liked it.

Agree with others that American Hustle is a good flick and outstanding performance by Bale. Imagine him as Batman and then watch this. You won't believe it's the same guy.

Gravity. Pretty good on a big screen. Interestingly filmed. Probably not so good on TV (small screen).

Noah. Agree with previous post. Thumbs down.

The Monument Men. Good cast. Good story. Worth seeing.

Two things:
1. Kostner added nothing to the Robin Hood movie. I also don't care for Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Maid Marion). Her eyes are too far apart and I find it a major distraction, but the rest of the cast was great. Morgan Freeman and Alan Rickman made it a tolerable movie. Rickman is an AWESOME bad guy. Die Hard, Quigley Down Under for a couple of examples. And of course Sean Connery adds class to anything he's in even if it's just a cameo appearance.

Planes Trains and Automobiles is arguably the best comedy ever made. The concept is ingenious. An up tight, button down "Dilbert" and a freewheeling slob of a traveling salesman. Too funny! And the supporting cast was a riot. It was the best performance either Candy or Martin ever did and they owe it to each other.

That'll buff right out

Where is your other hand?

The last movie i watched was young guns. I wouldn't call it my favorite but it's not a bad movie.

Went to the theater and saw "Interstellar" a couple nights ago.

In many ways, a beautiful film with a science-fiction storyline that sounded to this layman like it contained a lot of truth. As with any fiction vehicle, one must be willing to suspend disbelief in the interest of the larger story and message.

It was long -- 2 3/4 hours -- but moved along well.

This film is the director's homage to "2001: A Space Odyssey," the first movie he ever saw (at age 8) and the one that caused him to want to be a director, he says. There are many nods to the original in "Interstellar," and part of its intrigue is watching for those. I enjoyed the soundtrack too.

4 stars out of 5.

Last movie I saw was The Magnificent Seven. Great movie and I think my favorite role Steve McQueen played, plus Eli Wallach is hilarious as the bandit Calvera.

Would highly recommend as I've seen it a dozen times and it's still enjoyable. :)

My wife and I take turns with our Netflix picks so the last one was hers and it was called "Her". It's a about a computer program that thinks like a person and the guy (a looser type) chose a female sexy voice for it. You guessed it, he falls in love with his computer and she eventually breaks up with him. I watched it but would have rather watched one of mine.

But you asked for the LAST one so you got it.

The last one of mine I watched was "The Last of the Mohicans" for the tenth time.

V for Vendetta, 2006. Just now saw it and thought it was pretty good.

A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST.

It's no blazing saddles but the banter between Giovanni Ribissi & Sarah Silverman, when Giovanni saw his first va-jay-jay, had me rotfl. "Does it hurt?", "let me close the Bible" etc. You gotta wonder how many of those lines were ad lib'd.

Last picture seen in the theatre was FURY it was great and had to be seen on the big screen. In fact it was so good I intend to see it again! ;)

Don't normally go to the movies, but for some reason lately have been to the theater a few times.

Fury - good, but I thought the middle section seemed a little out of place. Good battle scenes.

John Wick - Great action flick. The trick to K. Reeves is to have him look cool and don't let him talk.

Nightcrawler - well done, good story, and great acting. However, I found it difficult to like because the main character was so reprehensible.

Next on my list is Interstellar. Hope to see it at the Imax. I'll bet the space scenes look awesome.

Ive read a few opinions on Fury--from those who live on the other side of the pond--not well liked by the few who saw it--and those not in the know--are not watching it because of the few who hated it but didnt say why? Im trying to talk a few of them into giving it a try.

I saw, and liked "Fury".
I especially liked the "rough as a cob" service-mans humor among the crew.
As I was leaving the theater, a demur, sweet-voiced little lady, with her aged husband commented,"I know those sweet young boys DID NOT talk to each other like that".

The old guys eye caught mine, and I just know we had the same thought: "Lady, you just don't know the half of it !"

Appaloosa, with Ed Harris, was on TV the other night. I had never seen it before, but it was pretty good. Appeared to be fairly accurate with the guns they were using, seeing as how it was set in 1882.

It's usually movie monday at my house and the latest movie we watched was Saving Mr Banks. My wife liked it, although my daughters thought it was too intense.
