What's for dinner?

For Tonight's Menu I prepared: Elk Roast cooked in the Sous Vide to a perfect medium rare; Morel Mushroom and Bacon Orso in a White Wine Cream Sauce with a hint of Lemon Zest; Steamed Green Garden Vegetables.

The roast is so tender you can chew it with your tongue.

One dinner roll from Kelley's Country Cooking. If they are perfectly cooked I will throw the extra bread in the freezer. Mom does not eat it any more. This roll was a bit biscuit like in the way it tore apart in layers. A little butter and some grape jelly is the favorite. Although, the butter and honey was not bad either. The perfectly cooked cornbread muffin will probably be tomorrow night's snack.

Thawed out a chunk of pot roast and picked up carrots and taters at the store. Gonna pull out the crock pot tomorrow morning and let it cook on low for about 9 hours. Tonight I am still full of the muffaletta I had for lunch. Maybe some soup or cereal later.

I smoked an 8lb pork butt a week ago today, and we finished it up last night. Today it's grilled cheeseburgers, French fries and some baked beans.

Tomorrow we make Pasgetti (as my grandson used to say). I'm buying a whole ribeye Tuesday (on sale for $5.99 a lb one day only) and I plan on really chowing down! :D

I'll start my diet after the 4th,...........
