What's on your night stand?

A friend's son lives in your area. Did not think it was that bad in Hampton Roads.

it's not lol, a bit back I had an FFL but eventually moved on from that line of work, but I did hold onto my inventory. Now, during and after the pandemic, it seems I'm reading about more hold up's and shootings, and being an RN, mostly a Roaming FNP, but I still do time in an ER, we do see an uptick in shooting and stabbing victims, plus a 100 fold increase in fights I call pandemic madness syndrome, or PMS.

To me, keeping a loaded handgun in the open on a nightstand is foolhardy.

That's "to me" ... YMMV.

S&W M&P 2.0 9mm full size, 17+1, Streamlight TLR-8, and 2 spare mags, all inside a Vaultek VE10.

I have a Medtronic monitor device on my nightstand. It monitor's my
pacemaker/defibrillator and transmits any irregularities to the Cardiologist.
Next to it is my Colt's Agent loaded with six rounds of standard pressure
.38 Spl. ammo. I feel well protected by both devices.

Medtronic now has an APP for that if you'd like to get rid of the monitor device. You contact Medtronic after downloading their app, and they'll set you up so your cellphone monitors your pacemaker and defib. Saves troubles when traveling.

Hornady Rapid Safe with whatever I'm carrying that day, 2 spare mags (total of 19-27 rounds), and a small tactical flashlight. Also a 115 lb. Rottweiler with a bad attitude roaming around who alerts me when he detects anything entering "his territory" that doesn't set off the alarm. Everything else in the big safe 10 feet away.

On my nightstand? humm, let me think. Ooh here it is:
A Projection clock, 'letcric blanket control, telephone to speed dial the police, prayer rug, 25 years of dust. And just inside the closet door a Stevens mod.30 410 pump action shoddy-gun loaded with Winchester PDX defender rounds. I just love those four discs of copper plated lead and the 16 bird shot back up pellets. On the shelf near by a Taurus 85 with three inch bbl, (might as well be a Smith) loaded with Starfire .38's. And in the ready service locker, a Rock-ola .30 M1 carbine and 4 magazines, one of which is loaded with 15, .22 accelerator rounds, and a Model 59 Smith with 4, 15rd magazines loaded with LE only federal hydroshok rds. Thank you GIL Haband.

What am i afraid of? Not a ..... thing officer.

Nothing in sight, but reachable from my bed: If I'm in it, my 365, otherwise it's with me, a Mod.15, a RIA 9MM 1911, a 16" AR, a Glock 17 in a Micro Roni Chassis and a Winchester 1200 pump with #4 buck. Soon to be joined by my new 3" 686+.

I like to have options.

My Handguns that I USE are in a drawer next to the bed = A Pair of 40 S&W Heckler & Koch USP Compacts..
Drawer beneath it has a 9mm Shield 2.0 which sees more carry because of it's size & weight lately.. Youngest Son is 29 BTW.
It's what I grab when going out.. Perfect Carry Gun..
Anybody that could get past my five dogs must be a Ninja
The Big Daze = Daisy would eat a guy up & drag his torso around
She's a Gator Pit, While the other four barked & bit his ankles = Little Dogs :D Chiweenies & Shih Tzus
Keeping Guns out in the Open doesn't happen around here..
Anything else is locked up in the basement along with everything else..
