What's the one gun that has always been in the back of your mind...

Hands down, a 2 inch round butt S&W Model 10. I still haven't given up hope.

I would prefer a shooter, not a safe queen. Something with a few honest dings. One that has been carried much but shot little. You hear me, Santa? I been real good.

Colt SAA 45, 4 3/4 bbl. cyl. throats corrected, sights squared away properly then nickeled. My dream pistol since I was a kid.

One of the original .357 Ruger Redhawks. I had one many years ago when they first came out with a 5 1/2" barrel and foolishly sold it to a sheriff's deputy. His residence later burned up and so did the Redhawk. When you find one for sale nowadays, it is for a ridiculous price.

A real Winchester 1892 in 44-40.
I have 2 newer 1892's (Browning & Winchester) made in Japan and they are nice but there is nothing like the real thing.

one of the 75 or so Lou Horton 19-7s k comp with 3" ported underlugged barrel. before they started putting the comp on them. Last and only one Ive seen went over 2100..I was away from the computer for a couple months or I might have had a go at it.

For a long time I had longed for a K-32 since I discovered how dumb it was to sell my Model 16-4, but now I have my "Project 616" and my recreated 16-3, so now I'm dreaming of a Model 631 four inch with adjustable sights. After that, maybe a custom pre-war 44 Special, and then... as his voice trails off wistfully.

I would love to own a Thompson.45. Yes I know the cost.
Talking about the full auto one. Any time were traveling and I find a shooting range if they have one I always rent it and a few boxes of ammo. Found I did quite well with it.

It will never happen as I'm age 73 and would have to move to a free state to get one.

I have wanted a 686 Stocking Dealer Exclusive for almost a decade and just haven't found one in person. I've seen several online but I like to be able to physically inspect used guns myself.

Police Dept I first worked for had a Thompson Sub-machine gun. We fired it once during recruit training.
Years later on the WHP, a Deputy and I were chasing two armed robbers at about 90 mph. The Deputy leaned out the window and dumped a magazine into the back of the car. They stopped.

Wouldn't spend the money to buy one. They are heavy, un-wieldy, and expensive to feed, but I've been intrigued by them ever since..

Mine would be a Browning High-Power. I will own one in the near future!!!
