What's up with this lying MGID banner ad

This is what I see at the top of the page most of the time.
It says mgid in the lower right corner and the advertising content seems to vary. It has no effect on my browsing the forum so I don’t pay any attention to it.

Like going nose-blind to some smells, I must have reached the ad-blind stage.
