What's with people trying to run up their post counts?

I'm not going to be as pleasant about it as Misty or Lee....and suggest that you get a life if this is all you have to worry about.

To the member that has 90% of his or her posts to the new members section, I say thanks for being such a great ambassador for the forum.

Brian~

+1 on that and +1 on my post count.

As with most things in life, it's not that simple. Does someone with a lot of posts have more knowledge? Does someone who found the website five years ago as opposed to six months ago know more? I've been around here long enough to discover a number of members who know a great deal about various subjects discussed on these forums. When I see their names, I pay pretty close attention. However, I do try to keep an open mind when reading the posts of any member. Nonetheless, after about 40 or 50 posts, you begin see whether a member's postings are worth seeking out or, as in a few cases, maybe avoiding.

FWIW, let's not judge a member by the number of posts or the year the member joined, but on the content of that member's posts.

+1 to that, that is the best response so far

I now know what +1 means after all these years. wow.

+1 to my post count. this makes it 70 new post added to my post count sense this post posted. But then, who's counting?

When I was in charge of first aid, at my old job, I always ordered Midol to hand out for headaches and minor injuries. Man, that stuff really works! Some of the guys got upset when they found out what I gave them, but it really worked well.

I am one of those people who welcomes people to the forum. Guilty as charged.

Judging me guilty of doing that to raise my post count... not correct or appropriate.

I enjoyed the "welcomes" when I joined so I would imagine new members enjoy being welcomed also.

As far as quality input, I don't have much yet because I am still in the learning stages. When and where I have knowledge, I will share it gladly. Need to know anything about IT Project Management, Mainframe operations?

I hope I am also not judged because I try and answer DOB questions using the SCSW if no one else has beat me to it.

Lee, feel free to change my post count to "0" anytime you would like. Won't bother me one bit.

One last word, I don't "measure" myself by post count, I'm a little more confident in my place in life than that.

Campfire invitation reduced by 1.
