What's Your Favorite .22 Handgun?

This High Standard Double Nine, .22 lr, Double Action, 9 Shot Revolver, that was the first handgun that I ever shot back in the late 50s that belonged to my Uncle. It's still in my safe today.

My favorite had to be my M41. I wish I still had it. Distant second is my Ruger 22/45 MkIII, highly modified to come close to what that M41 was unmodified. Sometimes you have to like what you can afford.

M41...7" barrel...

I used to think my Ruger(s) were the cats rear (they have all been "modified") but after I bought the M41...no contest.

Another vote for the Ruger Single Six. However, a 4" Model 17 and a Woodsman are on my long-term wishlist.

It would be a High Standard GE model I picked up at an auction

Favortie .22 handgun? Colt this time

Love my M17, M18, M41, Ruger Single Sixes. Had two Diamondbacks, a 6# and a 4#, but neither would shoot worth a darn. My favorite .22? This Colt Officers Match. Has an action like a Python, balances perfectly, trigger is crisp and light, and it shoots ragged holes if I do my part.

Just have the two, Ruger Single Six convertible, and Mark III standard. The Mark III is easy to shoot well, and with a Mcfadden speed loader and five mags it is possible to shoot up a brick in an afternoon. However, that kind of fun is not prudent in these times. The slower pace of the revolver makes the ammo last longer. Plus, I can shoot .22 mag and CB shorts in addition to .22 lr.

My 4" model 18 is my top 22 hand gun. Have a Ruger and an old Rossi that I almost never fire. The Rossi rides around in a holster under the truck seat as a just in case gun.

I have a Nomad as well. I like it better than my Ruger slabside.

My 15 year old son uses a S&W 22A. It is very accurate.
