What's your favorite part of the Thanksgiving Feast?

The family members that have passed and we still miss.

I brought Shasta black cherry soda for my sister and I.. it was something that our late Aunt Marge always had out on the farm where we celebrated Thanksgiving as children.. so sharing the day remembering those that made the day special for us and looking forward with the new arrivals, trying to do the same for them... newest family addition is due in February, a new great nephew... I hope everyone had a geat day despite what it took... son had a flat,... dishwasher broke.. and I had medical issues... wouldn't change it too much if it meant that I didn't get to be with family... it's a package deal.

Spending time with my family and giving thanks.

For food, Mom made pumpkin bread with chocolate chips (warm), apple pie (served warm) and with vanilla ice cream on the side........that and casserole, cheesy potatoes, fresh rolls, and who knows what all else... and it is time for a nap and watch football. :)

This year the stir fry. Finally perfected the recipe. Cooked the rice the day before and refrigerated it overnight. Put honey in the sauce to offset the salt in the soi sauce. Got the vegetables crispy but cooked. No leftovers.

My ex MIL made fantastic stuffing. Great place to hide anything that people wouldn't normally eat if served separately.

I'm now single but still hold to the tradition of having turkey on this day. Inflation has caused me to cut back somewhat.

Immediate family only traveled to my mother's for a traditional spread and a couple days of fellowship. Friday morn my 93 year old Mom whipped up some scramblers and sausage. Thinking ahead I stashed a patty to the side and a few hours later pulled apart some leftover dinner rolls and stuffed them with the odd turkey bits, sausage, Dijon and Muenster and nuked long enough to melt the cheese.
Amazing. Wished I'd of made a dozen more.

Wife and I had ham for Thanksgiving. Yesterday she cooked a turkey breast. We had turkey, mashed potatoes with cheese in them, asparagus, and stuffing.
Today I'll have turkey sandwiches, stuffing, and potatoes. Maybe some Baileys or wine too.
