What’s your go to pickle choice?

My favorite pickle???

Ball.

As a matter of fact I'm getting ready to play pickleball tonight. My fiancee and I play every Monday and Thursday from 6-9pm at church with about 30 other people. We usually take a lesson or do drills on the weekend for a couple hours, and there are some retired people in our group that play a whole lot more than we do. We love pickleball and it's great exercise!

I like the tiny Kosher dills and the dill sandwich stackers when making sandwiches. Brand isn't that important as long as they don't go overboard on the garlic.

I can't stand any kind of sweet pickles. And the big pickles can get mushy, the tiny dills are usually nice and crisp.

When I was seven or eight my parents would get me one of the big old dill pickle out of the huge jar that was on the counter of the store that they shopped at. along with a napkin to hold it with and wipe my face off, when done, eating it.

Today I like the quarter cut dills made by Claussen, that my sister, turned me on to. It has a special name, that I can't remember, right now but they
are very tasty.

I prefer sweet in my potato salads, butter on sandwiches and dills for snacking.

These giant dills were a concession stand staple when I was a kid. They were a nickel a pop.

Fast forward to recent times and the parent booster club at my son’s games are running the concession stand. The first game I work, guess what I discover on a shelf? An entire row of 5 gallon jugs of big ole dill pickles!!

The head of the booster club tells me “oh the young kids love them. They are a trendy snack the kids learn to eat to help avoid muscle cramps!”

There is truly nothing new under the sun.

Google the "pickle juice game NFL". Absolutely nothing new under the sun.

Nothing beats a home made one if done right but my favorite store bought is any kind of Clausen. They are about the closest I've found to what you used to be able to get at the neighborhood deli's. Mt. Olive makes good stuff too and I especially like their sweet relish on a boiled hot dog nestled in a grilled roll.
