What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Yesterday, I bought a High Standard Sentinel revolver, 22lr, 9 shot, 3"barrel.
Made around 1957 and in good shooting shape.
This is a user, not a collector. Walking or riding an ATV, this is a perfect snake gun using those "snake shot loads".
Dove hunting season here just started and it will get carried for this.

I was actually very interested in the Rami until I held perfectionin my hand, a PCR. :)
I'm waiting on the PCR decocker.

I just got a CZ P-06 out of jail after looking around for awhile (basically a P-01 in 40SW - also alloy frame like the PCR and my S&W Model 411). De-cocker; no safety; TruGlo night sights.

Feels *great* in hand, but with family activities all weekend, I haven't had a chance to shoot her yet. Anxiously awaiting the first range trip.

My next to last purchase was a 686 no dash 4" from GB. Needed a good .357 that didn't cost a fortune. It is a LEO trade in but in great condition. My last purchase was a NIB Smith & Wesson M&P15 sport 2 that I bought because, not owning one before, I figured it was time to get familiar with them. Have not shot it yet.

4563 TSW.

I took a chance that I might like it.

I like it a lot!

I bought two in less than 24 hours. First was the CHP 4006 TSW. I took it to the range and really enjoyed it. Then I went to another LGS to pickup some ammo and spotted the 5906 TSW in the case, looks like it has hardly been shot. I have always liked these S&W 3rd Gen's and the recent prices have been too good to pass up.

In the last few months I bought 2 pistol grip shotguns, both Mossy's. One in 12 and one in 20. Shockwaved both for fun. Bought a 9mm Shield that came with 3 stripped AR lowers, hated the shield and sold it then bought one of the 4006 CHP pistols that I love. And now for the shock of my life. I bought a 9mm 5" 2.0 M&P in FDE and it's the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. I was shooting the steel targets at our private range out to 35 yards and doing better than any of my other guns at 10 yards. I waited many years to get a CHP 4006 and I can't believe I'm saying the M&P 2.0 stole the show.

I am not completely sure why I bought the 681 and 3" 629 other than the decent price and I didn't want anyone else to have it. As far as the 625-6, I've always wanted a stainless, pre MIM, pre IL Mountain Gun in .45 Colt and I passed on several before. Wasn't going to let this one get away.

My most recent semi-auto is a model 52-2. Wanted one for decades and finally got one and it was at a good price.
You should open a new thread and share the tale of this one. We love 52 threads and we haven't had a new one to discuss in a bit.

H&K Vp9
VP9 - Heckler & Koch
Why?
1) It's likely the best feeling and best featured full sized polymer made today.
2) Sale price, 4 free mag rebate and cool/ unique OD green color was making me lose sleep.
3) It is a good excuse to sell off my Gen 3 Glock 35.

I bought a left handed Ruger American Ranch 16" in .450 Bushmaster. One of a handful specially made for the Michigan market, not cataloged by Ruger and not a distributor special. The right handed guns are cataloged and I'm already seeing them pop up in stores here in WA.

According to the store, I got the next to last one too :)

Bought it because, while we don't have a straight wall requirement here in WA, it seems like a terrific brush gun. 5-1/2lbs, magazine fed, very handy. I have a Marlin 1895 so the Ruger fits the same niche, just a tad more modern and much lighter.

To the op, I bought the same pistol back in 1990, great gun but times got hard and I had to sell her, Ive been sick about it ever since. My latest purchase was about a month ago, a model 60 no dash 38 special snub nose circa 1987. As to why, i bought it off a friend for a very fare price, it's in very good shape,he really never shot it, and I can't resist a good revolver when I come across one

M&P C.O.R.E. Why, because with my old eyes, I could no longer see the front sight of my 1911s at speed. The red dot helped immensely. No that I've had the cataracts removed, I may go back to my 1911s.

Be picking an East German Makarov up on Friday - have wanted one for a while and when the opportunity presented itself for a very nice specimen at slightly below market, decided now was the time.

You likely won't be sorry. I love Makarovs, and EG are among the best...if not *the* best. Have fun!

Well, the OP didn't specify semi auto vs revolver, but I'll start with the semi auto anyway.

Bought in June at the S&W Symposium. Reason for buying - it's purdy! :p

Now on to revolvers! All were bought within the last 4 months. First up, used S&W Model 627-5 357x8 PC. Reason for buying, good deal plus I wanted the extra two rounds:

Next, Model 625 PC. Reason for buying, good price and I wanted a 45acp revolver:

And lastly as well as most recent (last week) a Model 25-3 125 Year Anniversary Edition. I wanted a Long Colt, and ran across this one. It was listed as used, and I intended to use it as a shooter, but it's too pretty to shoot, so I'm on the prowl for another one.
