What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Springfield Armory stainless 1911. Got it new for a $557 bid on GunBroker. Bought it to convert to 460 Rowland.

Mine was a CZ52 about 3 weeks ago. I traded for one about 3yrs ago and foolishly sold it off a few months later as I was just getting into reloading and wasn't ready in my experience to tackle reloading the 7.62x25. About a year ago i got the bug and wanted to replace it.

I've been working on collecting some older CZ's as some of my great great ancestors came from over there to America. Every CZ I've laid my hands on feels like a custom fit glove. I've even debated selling my AR's I built to represent what I was issued years ago to get a Czech Point VZ 58 in addition to the vz2008 I own.

A super magnum 11-87. i have a 3 inch for 20 something years and about 10k shots now, and i like it a lot. Not much use for the 3,5 inch, but the price was too good to pass. Mint condition and serial# 18xxx, so that makes it either first, or second year of production back in the turn of this century. i had read lots of negatives about it not cycling low brass, but i guess i got one that works, since it sings through the 1,1/8 ounce low brass dove shells. :-)

Latest purchase...? S&S 4516-1 .... bought it, cleaned it,, shot it. Ran 100%... accurate and reliable..... a few minor issues, but no biggie.

Second on photos of $300 G&H.....!

Thanks to all who responded to my WTB

My Last purchase was a AR-15 from PSA. I bought it before the election in case Hillary got elected.

My last gun I bought is a PSA AR also. I got the PA10 though. We are planning on moving back to Texas or Oklahoma next year and I figured I should have a hog gun.

Today I got some kind of.....

AR 15 style 22 in trade for an old boat.

My son wanted a Springfield XDII and I agreed. Beautiful gun.
Now if I can just learn to shoot it.''

I had a chance at a nice Sig,

Before that was an S&W mod 36 and 38. Both good buys.

This Swedish m/41. Numbers matching and an unusually clear Swedish AGA42 scope. Built on a 1912 Carl Gustafs m/96 the m/41 series were arguably the most accurate bolt action military sniper rifles of the 20th Century. Got a deal I couldn't refuse and my m/41B needed a companion.

Even had the original Swedish unit disk on it.

I just purchased a 908 from a member here. The gun is in excellent condition and was offered at a fair price.

Why did I buy it? Well that's a good question as I have plenty of 3G Smith carry guns but I do like the "value line" guns and have 915's, 411's, and 457's so adding the 908 is getting something that there will be no more of.

I could have bought a 9mm Shield for less, but I'll take quality over price any day.

I purchased a Shield 40, a Shield 45 and an M&P 15-22 over the last three months. Why? Because the were all on sale and the Shields had rebates. Also because I like M&Ps and S&W has a lifetime warranty. Now I need an M&P 15 Sport II.

A S&W 645. I bought one about 6 months ago and liked it so much I HAD to have another.

I picked up a new Victory this weekend. I certainly didn't need it as I own a model 41 and a couple of Ruger MKII target pistols as well. I just have always had an attraction for .22 semi-auto target pistols. The purpose of the purchase was to use the Victory as a casual plinker that would be accurate but inexpensive and something that I wouldn't have to be super anal about cleaning. This pistol has been quite a surprise as to it's accuracy and reliability. I'm really liking it alot!

most recent purchase

My most recent purchase was a shiloh sharps. I was on a waiting list for 2 years before they even started to build it, anyway I always wanted one. Mine is a no. 3 sporting rifle, 30 inch hvy oct. Barrel, with double set triggers, mva soule mid range sight, semi buckhorn barrel sight and a non adjusting globe with spirit level front sight. Shotgun style buttstock and pewter nose cap. Chambered in 45 x 2 1/10( 45-70). JUST HAVING THIS THING HAS SCARED EVERY BUFFALO OUT OF MY TOWN.

My most resent purchase: COLT GOVT. O1991 5 inch .45cal. 1911. I just wanted a "plain-Jane" pistol.

Never Owned a Model 13
I've bought from the seller before
Can easily sell if need be
Fit's in nicely with my other 3" Smiths

Last week I finally got around to purchasing my first .44 Magnum. Wanted one since I first saw Dirty Harry in the 70's. Found a very lightly used S&W 629 Deluxe Talo , 3" barrel, w/ box and papers at one of my LGS. Going to get .44 Reloading Dies from the same store today. Bought it for two reasons, 1. It is a S&W and 2. well... it is a .44 Magnum...
