What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Just picked up another 3906 with three mags and owner's manual for $370 OTD. Wasn't really looking to buy another one, but the price was tooooo good to pass up :)

I ordered my Dream gun two weeks ago now. Its a S&W model 627- 8 shot wheel gun from their Performance center. All stainless with both the hogue and wood grips on it. This is a 357 cal which also shoots 38 special rounds as well. I have been drooling over this for a few years now and finally am going to have it after all.

A S&W 457 a few days ago. I only bought it because I was picking up my 909 I had won and my LGS told me about it. Plus it was in 90% or better and someone wanted to do layaway but needed the cash first.

4516 because I wanted it. :)

Ruger American Rimfire in 22LR because I want to teach my children the fundamentals of marksmanship and a 22LR bolt action with sling fits the bill nicely. Takes the 10/22 magazines that we already have, comes ready for a scope but with descent ironish sights, and has multiple combs that are a breeze to swap out. I can already see improvements in my children's marksmanship and I am relearning a thing or two myself :)

Mod. 34-2

My last purchase was this little S&W 2" Mod. 34-2 22/32 kit gun. purchased in 2014. I was still taking my dog, on walks hunting shrews , in the woods, and fields behind the house. She had gone blind, but still hunted, caught, and killed shrews. I carried a 4" S&W 34-1 for coyote protection, and wanted a shorter pocket size version. "Rosie" has been gone a couple of years, but not forgotten, the 2" 34-1, Ill always have in her memory.

My most recent firearm purchase was a used Smith & Wesson Model 317-3 I found at a local gun store on the 16th of November. Why did I buy it? I've been eying this model for a while; this one was in great condition, and it was priced right!
Did I mention this gun hardly weighs anything at all? :)

This gun came to me with a 2 1/2 pound single action, and 11 1/2 pound double action trigger. So far, I've tried it out at home with Colibri's and it's accurate and functions flawlessly! :D

My last acquisition was a second gen Colt SAA, Nickle, unfired, in .45LC. Pleeze don't drum me out of S&W, but it was just too iconic of my childhood saturday morning TV shoes.

last one still the Ruger American Compact in 22 magnum. Bought it for lightness, short barrel, and compact for carrying in woods hunting. Packs more wallop for bigger varmints too. Replaces my old Marlin bolt that felt more like lugging a centerfire around. Does not look or feel chintzy so I grabbed it. Also added a standard stock for greater length of pull. Feels like a10/22 with a bolt.

A very pristine late 60's S&W Model 14. A guy at the gun club saw me shooting my Model 66 and asked me if I'd be interested in buying it. Looked like it hadn't been shot hardly at all. One thin scratch at the right side of the muzzle about an inch long. No case-head bluing wear on the recoil shield. Not much wear on the ejector rod. All around very tight. No target trigger or target hammer and a non-matching set of Magna's.

Don't care about the grips, I'm a shooter and I prefer the Goodyears. Cylnder throats were the tightest I've ever seen so I opened them up. That might be why it wasn't shot much.

It was $500. I thought it a fair price for the condition. Why did I buy it? You're kidding, right? Mostly I'm just a sucker for 6" or longer revolvers with adjustable sights I guess.

My first five rounds at 15 yards with Ye Olde Wadcutters. I pulled one, of course, per usual.
