What's YOUR spouses reaction to your new gun?

I've told all the young men in my tribe to get all the guns they can before marriage AND make it clear to a prospective wife that there will be more.

My wife actually brags about my arsenal.

It usually starts with "Honey, show them your Dirty Harry gun!" when her friends or her relatives are visiting. Then we have what she calls "Our gun show."

Yes, she has a sister, but happily married.

I dont have a lot of years in the hobby so my collection is far less than many here. And i end up with multiple models in the same caliber. My wife and I both work and contribute so we both on occasion will buy something we want. While not affecting the household. The joke has been while she may find my MP's may look the same, so do some of her purses. After 33+ years of happy marriage I can usually get a laugh from her on that line. Usually lol

Just so happens I bought a rifle today online. I went downstairs to watch a movie with my bride of 27 years and told her that I just bought a gun. She replied, "Oh, is that my anniversary present?"

Ha, my wife is usually with me when I purchase a new firearm. She helps me during the hunt at gun shows to find what I am looking for. The one comment she makes now that we are both about to retire is "there is one more thing to get rid of someday."
