Where to get a rear sight for 686?

I have a 686 no dash with stock rear sight. It has old worn out night sight "bulbs" in it. I'd like to put it back all factory. Where's the best place to get one and is there only one size or different heights? Thanks

Can you show us a picture of the top? We need to know if the front of the tang is round or square.

The front of the whole rear sight assembly is square

That's an older one. The whole assembly can be hard to source, but you can just replace the rear blade in your current one. The normal height for the 686 rear blade is .146. There are several other heights. You can get the blade from S&W factory, Midway USA, Brownell's, Gun parts Corp., etc. The sight blades are the same for the square tang, and the newer round tang.

Another question.. when your looking at your sight picture with these guns is it normal to see some stainless steel on the front blade? Meaning I see the red insert AND some SS serrations "in the notch" of the sight picture. I'm wondering has my rear notch been opened up?
