Which gun do you LIKE to shoot the most?

Tough call

That is a tough call, but three are packed to go with me every time that I go to the range. My 627 PC, 18, and a 22/45.
The 627 is probably shot the most.

My two favorite handguns are my Colt Gold Cup Series 70 in .45 acp and my Smith M 15 that belonged to my Dad. My favorite rifle is my 22 LR CZ 453 American while my favorite shotgun is my Browning Superposed.

Kimber Classic Varmint in 17 mach2 shoots .5" groups at 50yds and kills small game out to 100yds.

I know I won't be able to hold my head up, but even if I take several guns that are much nicer to the range, it seems that I end up shooting my cheapo 22A the most by far. It seems to fit my hand well and has great sights. Has a pretty good trigger and just the right heft and balance. Very reliable too. An older Buckmark might be in the running also.

Why not ask which is my favorite child? But if I had to pick I would say my Winchester Md 92 in 38-55, nothing like shooting a 100+ year old rifle. Though for nothing more then fun, a Ruger 10/22 Charger is hard to beat. With good ammo and a 6x scope the "bunny burner" is a joy to shoot out to 100 yards. Better yet you can shoot a box of ammo for the price of two 38-55 Buffalo Bore rounds (note this is not a complaint about BB ammo, they make great stuff).

Gonna have to say my Ruger MK III standard. I don't shoot groups, exactly, but more than anything else I have, it shoots where I aim it. With five mags and a McFadden loader, it is easy to put a lot of rounds through it.

Next up would be my CZ Vz.50, very pleasant notwithstanding the blowback design, but kind of expensive to shoot.

For years and years I would've answered one of my .38 Special/.357 Mag Smiths, but that has changed and now my favorite cartridge (except for cost:eek: ) is the .45 ACP.

Outdoors my favorite gun to shoot is this S&W Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch. It is a real blast, and as the rapid fire 50 foot target attests, is capable of delivering the 230 grain bullets on target.

Indoors where I can sweep-up my brass, I have to vote for one of the 1911's in the safe. John Moses Browning's masterpiece.

In semi, Dan Wesson CCO. In a revolver, S&W model 19. Rifle is Weatherby XXII and in shotgun, it's the Browning XT.

>> OP << !

Right On, when I read Thread Title I thought

" Well, here's my chance to tout my favorite" and said

1950 .44SPL Target and YOU said it straight off !

Amen, Brother....Awesome.
The 4 and 5 inchers are the Best.

Very difficult to pick the one I like most. My 4.25" round-butted 25-2, usually with Pachmayr Compacs on it, is very high on the list, both SA and DA, as is my 3" double-Magnaported 629 with checkered Fishpaw grips approximating Pachmayr Compac Pros (shooting .44 Spl). But probably my favorite is my DAO 2" Model 15-2 with Safariland/Rogers grips. I also like my 5" M&P (from about 1907) with Rogers grips just about as much, even though the sights are kind of narrow. Do you think maybe Bill Rogers knew something about designing grips?

My favorite rifle is my 22 LR CZ 453 American...
In rifles my favorite rf is also a CZ but the 452 Ultra Lux with peep sights. The extremely long barrel provides a sight radius that rewards you when you pull the trigger. And when squirrel hunting if you run out of ammo you can reach out with that 28.6" barrel and just club them. In center fire rifle it is the .45-70 Siamese Mauser I built, 34 years ago, that is capable of astonishing .75 moa groups with the proper hand loads. It needs to be restocked but I am afraid of loosing that edge.

Probably my older 1996 Colt M1911A1 which I had Wilson Combat do some reliability work, part swaps, etc on. It's had over 7000+ rounds through her, and not a hiccup since. I never could undrstand why so many folks to this day say the 45 ACP packs a wollop insofar as recoil, and I say it's just the complete opposite. In fact, the DI's at Ft Jackson in 1967 told us recruits the 1911 was a "monster", and I found that to be a big lie. The recoil is a gentle push, the rapport is not really loud, and damn, for a 100+ year old design, nothing comes close to the sheer pleasure of shooting a Government sized 1911.

I know this should be a S&W, but it's the one I stand the best chance of hitting the 10 ring with.....;)
(Besides, I have guns for collecting and guns for shooting, with very few "crossovers".)
