I have no idea how many dozens and dozens of guns I've owned over the decades and that includes dozens of Smith & Wesson revolvers with some Smith semi-autos scattered in. Of all those guns owned and sold over time I have few regrets, but one of those is a Model 27-2 in five-inch. It was the perfect N-Frame and five inch is the best barrel length for any N-Frame in my opinion.
In the early 90s we were making some expensive improvements and building additional space at our home and I thought I should sell some guns to help finance those building expenses. My wife was very much against it, but I sold several guns, including some nice Japanese made Winchester over-under and side by side shotguns. Plus, that Model 27 and a Model 25-2.
I try not to think of that move very often since I usually wind up with a bruised forehead from beating it against a wall.
