Who carries a K-frame concealed?

For a few years in Florida I carried a S&W 2 1/2" model 66 in an inside waist holster. I carried in the appendix position. It wasn't the most comfortable for sitting, but there are much better options for IWB holsters these days. I usually wore an undershirt and a Guayabera shirt. By lifting the shirt with the off-hand, drawing the revolver with the strong hand and bringing the off-hand into gripping position, it was a very quick draw. If I had to do it over again, I'd have removed the hammer spur, as I always shoot double-action. I never had a snag upon drawing, but the hammer spur would wear a hole in the undershirt after some time.

I've gone come back from the dark side (Glock) and am now carrying either my 686+ or my new to me, 386PD. IWB, it's a Milt Sparks VMII. OWB, I have a couple of Mitch Rosen's express line pancakes. love the heft of the 686+ for shooting, but the 386PD is a dream to carry. Also on the goodyears, they are indeed the old Pachmayr compac pros. The same ones ride on my 686+. The 386 has a set of VZ grips on it, and i have another set on order for the 386.

I just brought home a 2.5" 66-1 and will be carrying it. For the way I dress, loose untucked shirts or t-shirts, it's not an issue as well as having carried larger guns too (full size 1911 and full size M&P though the last one requires colder temps for a better cover garment). I've carried them when I owned similar guns in the past. The secret is a good holster/belt combo.

I carry a 4 inch model 19 or a 4 inch model 10 daily. OWB in a Desantis holster that my dad gave me. He carried his 19 duty gun in it off duty for years.

I did have a SP101. Great little gun. Right about the size of a Detective Special, but in 357. It does have one less round capacity, but it's a great gun overall. I had to sell mine to finance my purchase of my 19. I wasn't carrying it, as I had a J frame 442 to carry on non-coat days. It was doing house guard duty. Had it by the front door to grab when unexpected knocks occurred.

I carry a L Frame 2.5" 386PD or 686+ 3", or a 327PC 2" IWB in a MTR Sentinel holster. No issues with the weight of the steel gun, but the scandium guns are a little bit easier due to less weight! Looking for a new J frame holster, may stick with the Sentinel!

model 66 with 4" barrel and hammer spur cut completely off.
I carry it strong side over kidney holster with enough slant that I can bend my wrist down enough to grip the gun and drag it forward flipping my wrist up on the draw and not having to stop my movement like most do by having to LIFT the gun from the holster before starting to bring it on to target.

I sometimes carry my 3 inch M65, but this picture shows the size difference between a M65 and a J-Frame M442, both with Lobo Gunleather holsters. The M442 is much easier to carry concealed.

My only issue was finding a good cheap holster. I found one just across the border in a Baja California town that keeps the cartels out, but say pony up the dough and get a good holster (I recommend inside the waistband for concealment) and you'll be fine. Granted, I've carried a full size 1911 since I was 18, so a 2" K frame was a step down in concealment difficulty.
