Even though I don't crave the liquid spirits, I always like this drinking phrase. I also like: Another Dead Soldier-meaning-another empty bottle.:D

And speaking of drinking--what the heck is the name of the song these words belong to? My dad used to sing it and I don't remember much of the song.

I was sitting in O'Reilly's bar listening to tales of blood and thunder when a man comes in singing tales of blood and thunder singing piddly eye ay piddly eye oh ......... something about a one eyed reilly............:D

Dunno if its a nasty song or not? but one I barely remember my dad used to sing to us young'uns.:D

Show me the way to go home

I'm tired and I wanna go to bed

Had a little drink about an hour ago and it went straight to my head...

Been on a bender, on a toot, heard Jimmy Buffett sing about commode hugging drunk and I've been there too.

Been knee walking drunk, been one-eyed drunk, probably wore a lampshade for a hat a time or two but I don't remember. :p

But come Feb 19th it will be 20 years since I've been any kind of drunk because I haven't had a drink of booze since 2-19-1998, Thank You Jesus. :)

Some funny ones to come I'm sure. Anyone knpw about the drinking song I'm sure I butchered? Ive heard a partial rendition of it towards the very end of the movie: Halls of Montezuma-as sung by a character actor (Bert Freed- while cooking up a batch of Jungle juice-using his trusty still)

Did a little bit of drinking in college, but became a cop while still in school.
Bar fights every night with football players and such.. Quit the PD and went on the WHP to get away from all that.

Then I learned the horrors of drunks on the highways.
I came to hate drunks.

I may have a beer or a drink once in a few months, but there's no way I could ever allow myself to be in a condition to cause the kind of things I have seen.

Coming from a proud family of alcoholics and drunks, we've plenty of names for it. "Tipsy", "blitzed", but my favorite would have to be "white girl wasted"! :D
