Col. Charles Askins was a NATIONAL CHAMPION with a handgun and a shotgun, I don't know if any cop has ever accomplished that. His tactics and marksmanship definitely saved the lives of other LE officers and there is absolutely no doubt that he would pull the trigger on a perp without ANY hesitation.

Re: OP. Both men have a well-deserved reputation for being extremely competent policemen. I'd be very pleased to have either one of these men to come along for such a task. Be wonderful to just sit down over coffee and have a chance to listen to them talk about life, the universe and anything associated with their professional experiences.
