Why not list your city and state in profile?

I just post the state. My small town is too much info to post publicly.

Same here - but if you must know, all you need to do is check my past postings and you will see that I'm now in AZ but I used to be in Washington state.

So just do a Google look up for "who left WA state and moved to AZ" and my name and address will probably show up.

Hope this helps.

The group of who left California to move to Southwest Idaho could be bigger[emoji1]

Since I don't buy, sell, trade or have friends I see no need to post personal information.
I'm a pretty private individual and I choose to whom I share.
I'm friendly to all people but I choose who gets past the walls I've built.

My first Forum 'ding' was for asking 'where are you?' in a WTS listing.
That information, even in general terms, is quite helpful in many instances.

I think I did the same thing. Oh the horror of committing such a heinous infraction. Whatever…

Exactly why listing at a minimum a state should be Mandatory if you are posting in the classifieds.

All sales FFL to FFL only. If you have a copy of it, go somewhere else. Worked fine until a gun covered with pictures was blemished. Was there same day to pick it up as promised, so they could have waited to open it. Or could they? Fumble fingers. Hard to find someone who talks your language and walks the walk, especially when they get super busy.

I get aggravated when someone ships in original box wrapped with shipping tape. When a gun is not as advertised. Lost in shipping.
New in box. What box? Tools. Original and unused? Original paper?

Schill bidders.

I find it warm when an old friend will quietly help sell items. No more worries, though some in the past were supposedly friends.

Thankfully, there are those who still exist to help others, too.

Posted in the wrong thread?

On topic:
I can understand paranoia these days. But if you're that paranoid maybe you should reconsider signing on to a public internet forum.

I do block out serial numbers if I post a modern gun- not really sure why but I do anyway.
I do show my hometown, but I think most members really don't care and when they see CA they probably roll their eyes anyway.
Not that paranoid about The Man because I've already been fingerprinted and LIFE scanned more than a serial criminal. ;)

The internet is a cesspool of filth and deception, no sense making it easy on the perverts, malcontents, terrorist, thieves, peddlers, and the government.
