Will Smith smacks Chris Rock

I've heard about this, and I feel that Chris Rock had it coming. You don't make fun of another man's wife, and if this were just a few decades ago then he would have most likely have received a knuckle sandwich instead of a slap across the face, and more folks would be on Will Smith's side too.

Inappropriate joke: Don't make fun of sick people.
Inappropriate reaction: Wrong time, wrong place. Completely wrong response. The joke wasn't that bad.

Great example of how these so-called celebrities think they're somehow more important than us common folks and can do as they please.
I was amused by this for maybe a minute. I'm over it now. Couldn't care less anymore.

As usual this is another
lengthy thread by a
lot of posters saying how they
could care less about the
subject matter.

I know I'd feel the same about
artichoke recipes. Oh, oh,
but wait, maybe it's really
about the contract killer
Sam Artie. I remember
one headline about him:

"Artie chokes five for $1"

I'm confused.

Chris Rock had booked a stop on his comedy tour for one night in June here at the Taft Theater. By popular demand he has added a second night here.

This sure isn't hurting his pocketbook.

Funny guy.

I am reminded of the 5-22-1856 caning and near death beating inflicted on Charles Sumner by Preston Brooks. Even in the halls of Congress and when attempts were made to end the beating others held up weapons and said "Let them fight." Hardly a fight, Brooks eventually broke his cane but continued to beat Sumner with the broken head.

Sumner died some months or a few years later reportedly from lingering complications from the beating.

Smith was wrong for coming up on the stage and attacking Rock.
The parties involved should have discussed it after the show.
I was all over a weak and very brief joke that I am sure most of the TV and studio audience did not even catch.

Smith was wrong.
There is more to the story.

GOOD GRAVY! STOP IT ALREADY!!!

This was IMHO a staged "event" to get people talking about the Oscars. which as I posted earlier, I rather watch grass grow.

THESE PEOPLE ARE HOLLYWOOD ELITES, AND ARE ANTI-GUN.

If they live, die, falter, thrive, it makes no difference to me.

Move on already!
